A GEORGE III SILVER TEA CADDY overstruck with maker's mark I.B, London 1786, oval with hinged domed cover, later chased with flowers and acanthus. 14cm high, 14cm wide, 12.9 troy ouncesMarks well spaced and well struck. Stands upright, no rocking. Cover hinge with very minor wobble, but sturdy. Slight gapping to cover edg3 - out of alignment, approx. 1-2mm to right. Lacks key. Casting mark/dent to underside. Very minor dings and light surface scratches throughout commensurate with age and use.
