A Walnut Month Going Longcase Clock with Calendars, the attractively coloured case with caddy top, brass capped three-quarter columns to the hood, glazed side windows, the trunk door with moulded borders and decorated with feather banding, re-built plinth upon rectangular shaped base, 12-inch square brass dial with engraved borders, crown and cherub spandrels, later silvered chapter ring with Arabic and Roman numerals, the matted dial centre with later seconds dial, "later" silvered plaque bearing inscription "Jonathan Lowndes, Londini Fecit", below plaque with three apertures for date/day of the week and an unusual ring aperture engraved with days of the week deity symbols, six pillar movement with long duration, anchor escapement and outside countwheel striking on a bell, five wheel trains to movement, possibly later seatboard, (dial and movement possibly associated to the case 18th century) with restorations, 240cm high see illustration
