A George III silver provincial caddy spoon, with a bright-cut stem and engraved flowerhead in the bowl, initialled, by Richard Ferns, Exeter, C.1800 (no later date); and an engraved Victorian silver caddy spoon, also initialled, by Messrs J & J Williams, Exeter 1871, the latter 9.5cm long, 0.65oz. A rare Georgian III "double duty" silver caddy spoon with engraving and a fluted circular bowl, initialled and dated "1813", by Joseph Taylor, Birmingham 1797, 8.5cms long, 0.25oz.NB. In 1797 the duty on silver was doubled and in that year the King's head duty mark was struck twice. On this spoon, however, as an anomaly, the lion passant has also been struck twice - a really collectable item!
A George V Scottish silver tea caddy, with a pull off cap, initialled “M” and inscribed “Droon yer troubles in a cup of tea”, maker’s mark partially worn, Glasgow 1919; together with a small silver dressing table tray, inscribed; a silver ring tree dish; a silver pin tray; and a silver bon dish, the caddy, 10.5cm high, 13.5oz.
