Elizabeth Vera Bassett-Reynolds (Vera Bassett) (1922-1997) Ring-a-Ring of Roses, airy and bright depiction of children playing in the garden accompanied by a West Highland Terrier, watercolour, signed lower right, framed under wash line mount and glass, 28 x 47 cm Vera Bassett was born in Glamorgan, Wales and later lived in nearby Burry Port. She studied at Swansea College of Art, and exhibited extensively from the mid 1950s onwards, including the Paris Salon and several solo shows. Her work is held by the British Museum and the National Museum of Wales.
