DAVID BOWIE 4 PAGE HANDWRITTEN LETTER FROM 1969. Incredible piece of early David Bowie history in the form of a 4 page letter written to the vendor (Dick) who had met David when he performed at a festival during the summer of 1969. David visited Dick at his home following their meeting to discuss his band "Drama Band" playing at the "Threes Tuns" pub which was organised by the Beckenham Arts Lab. In summary the letter includes David's name, address and contact number and goes onto confirms Dick's bands attendance on August 3rd 1969, discusses payment, other acts involved, people involved in the project (including Mary Finnigan), future projects such as setting up a music agency, how he has set up his own label called "Undergrowth" and how they have good distribution links with EMI. He signs off the letter with "Yours in Dharma, Bowie" and draws in a suggested logo for his "Growth" company. On page 4 he finishes off by saying he has "a million and 1 things going SUCCESSFULLY." and that "I May sound over-opt on things but it's because i'm so excited by what's happening down here. Dig?". His optimism was clearly well founded and things certainly went successfully in the years that followed.
