An 18ct gold model of The Old Grand Hotel at Ramsar, Iran, by Garrard & Co. Ltd, Crown Jewellers, London W1. The two wings of the building with hinged roofs opening to hold packs of playing cards, the model is well-detailed, accurately depicting architectural features, sculptures and adornments, raised on an onyx plinth with moulded border and contained in a green leather fitted case, London 1977, 41cm wide, 25cm deep, 13cm high. (The model is constructed around a perspex shell and weights are as follows: base plate 878g, staircase 84g, main building gross weight 2,122g, perspex structural elements are estimated to weigh 400g).

The top has a fitted compartment, with bowed edge side cabinets for drinking glasses & further cupboards at the back. 48'' in height, 38'' in width, 18'' in depth.
An unusual Japanese Meiji period Satsuma cylindrical tall vase, the neck with detailed gilt heightening, a blue and yellow ground main body decorated with a kitten playing with a ball of string beneath a floral spray and painted with butterflies, painted character mark to base, 37.5cm, with associated wooden stand. CONDITION REPORT: Has a hairline, which is visible in main photo. Crazing elsewhere, otherwise good.

A bronze chessman double-ended seal matrix with hexagonal-section shank, collar and central quatrefoil suspension hole; to the circular main face an intaglio design of a cock's head; with incuse *S' WILLAM COKHEPD for William Cokherd; to the circular secondary face an intaglio design of a cross within a pentagram. The device of a cock's head to this seal is playing on the name of the person. 19.35 grams, 22.39mm and 14.76mm diameter (3/4 and 1/2"). From a significant private English collection of seal matrices, formed over the past 35 years. Fine condition.
