Dirt and scuffs. Some smudging and some stains. The pair of silks depicting ladies are both deteriorated and with dirt and holes. The waterfall picture has some general wear, dirt and stains and scuffs.
A FOLLOWER OF GIOVANNI PAOLO PANINI (1691-1765) "Figures before an ancient ruin, a fountain with dogs playing in foreground with further figures and buildings in background", oil on canvas, unsigned, 67.2 cm x 83 cm (ILLUSTRATED) CONDITION REPORTS The frame has quite heavy wear and large areas of loss to the mouldings, chips and cracks. Under ultraviolet light the picture has quite a few areas which show up dark throughout the picture and particularly to the right hand side and the lower half of the picture where a lot of the trees, foliage and buildings appear to have had repairs and repainting. Under natural light the picture is quite dirty, there is craquelure and cracking to the paint throughout. Areas of restoration throughout. Canvas appear to have been relined.
A good pair of Meissen five branched table candelabra, circa 1885, modelled in 18th century style, in pastel shades of pink and turquoise enamel, painted with floral sprigs and insects and trailing applied foliage, raised above three seated cherub musicians playing mandolin, flute and violin respectively, on encrusted base on three gilt scroll feet, blue Meissen cross swords mark to base, with incised numbers, 51cm h (2)

An unusual late-18th century Chinese small lidded vase of ovoid form, with a fine line-drawn scene, in the European style, of Apollo, naked but for a cloth draped over one shoulder, playing a gilded lyre in a black and grey rocky setting, the shoulders and domed lid encircled by butterflies and trailing foliage, standing on a flared foot rim encircled by alternately reversed, applied scroll decoration, 5in. (12.5cm.) high.
