Provenance: Obtained by the late Mr.Andrew Chalmers, drummer, who played with several bands in the USA (including the Air Force band in the early 1950s), during which time he became friendly with the actor James Cagney (with whom he remained in contact for several years). On returning to this country he worked as a drummer with the resident bands at the Gaiety Theatre, Ayr, and The Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow, playing with Harry Lauder, Lex McLean, Stanley Baxter, Moira Anderson, Kenneth McKellar and Andy Stewart amongst others, and also worked with band leader "Geraldo".
