1972 ECWC FINAL Dynamo Moscow v Glasgow Rangers played 24 May 1972 at the Nou Camp, Barcelona. Rare ''BARCA'' FC Barcelona weekly club magazine dated 30 May 1972 which includes full Final coverage with many pictures and reports and includes central page team line-ups. Also includes six page coverage and team line-ups of the 1972 UEFA European Under 18's tournament Final England v West Germany which was played at the Nou Camp on 22 May 1972. England won 2-0. Also reviews the Martini youth tournament organised by CS Trois Chene in Geneva with Barcelona playing Manchester United in group 1 on 21 May 1972. Stoke City lost 2-0 to MTK Budapest in the Final. There is a small piece missing from the top left corner of the magazine although this does not affect any text. Fair-generally good
LIVERPOOL/EVERTON Single sheet programme Liverpool Senior Cup Final 14th June 1947 v Everton. Liverpool 1st team did not have a game that day and fans at Anfield were kept in touch with the match at Bramall Lane between Sheffield United and Stoke which ended up with a 2-1 win to the home side resulting in Liverpool winning the Championship without actually playing . Team changes, Score and scorers inserted. Fair to generally good
EUROPEAN SUPERCUP -RANGERS Programme and match ticket for European Supercup match v Ajax Amsterdam, 16/1/73, which was also Rangers Centenary match. The clubs were playing for the Super Cup of Europe trophy which was commissioned by a Dutch newspaper and started off the series of Supercup meetings played initially between the winners of the European Cup and the Cup-Winners Cup and more recently between the Champions League Winners and the Europa League winners. Programme and match seat ticket for Section M are both in generally good condition, scarce ticket. Generally good
A Victorian inlaid rosewood cased music box, with 38 cm comb, playing ten airs. Case width 63 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The case is in generally good condition with no significant issues. The marquetry is good. There are no cracks to the top. There are minor scuffs to the ebonised edge. The hinges are original. The base of the case is in good order as are the sides and back. The legs are all original. The mechanism winds. The box does play and sounds in tune. All mechanical components appear to be present. The stop start mechanism does not seem to be operating as it should. The comb is in good order and all of the teeth seem to have the tips. There are no missing teeth. The glass to the interior lid is in good order as is the paper label.
A Victorian leather bound musical photograph album, with black and white family photographs. 29 cm x 23 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The album is not in particularly good condition. The clasp is missing. The outer cover is in reasonable condition with very minor tears and scuffs to the spine and edges. All metalwork is present. The movement appears to wind but is not playing when the album is opened. Most of the internal pages are discoloured and stained. There are numerous small tears and rips to the insertion areas. The music box has dummy pages at the back. The four corner screws were rusted in place but we have managed to open the back. The movement winds but is not currently operating, it seems very dry, it does however wind as stated previously.
A William IV rosewood turnover top card table, with moulded edge, baize lined playing surface, centre column, quatreform base and scroll feet with castors. Width 91.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The table is in generally very good order. It could be used in its current state without the need for any repairs or restoration. The top is a good colour and in generally good order. There are some minor blemishes but no significant issues. There are minor stress fractures to the veneers but again no real problems. The frieze and edge moulding are in good order. The interior is a good colour and the card playing surface in good condition also. The piece is structurally sound. The centre column is in good condition. The quatreform base has some minor edge nibbles but again no significant issues. All legs are in good condition and the castors are present.
A Victorian inlaid mahogany cased musical box, playing six airs, with 15 cm cylinder. Case length 34.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The case is in very good condition with no significant issues. The top is flat and of good colour. There are some very small sections of boxwood tramline decoration missing. The front and sides of the box are in good condition. The rear is in good order. There has been a small veneer repair to the top left hand corner of the back. The hinges are original, the cylinder winds. The comb appears to be in good condition. The box does play and sounds in tune. None of the tips of the comb are missing. The glass above the cylinder is in good condition.
A George III inlaid Cuban mahogany card table. CONDITION REPORT: The table top when viewed from the sides has a slight warp. This is not visible when viewed from the front. The top is in generally good condition with only minor surface scuffs and scratches as one would expect. There are semicircular marks caused by the supporting leg and some slight fading to the polish. The moulded edge all around is in good condition as is the interior crossbanding. The playing surface is badly stained and in poor condition. The frieze is in good order. The legs are all in good condition with no damage or repairs of any significance. The table will originally have had left and right corner spandrels. These are missing. The waist moulding has a small loss of approx 4 cm to the rear of the left hand return. This has probably been detached when the rear leg is swung to support the top.
GLADYS SPAWFORTH, (British, early 20th Century, Arts and Crafts stained glass artist), a group of four leaded, stained glass panels, 'Joan of Arc, The Maid of Orleans', martyr and saint 1431. 63 x 50cm. 'St. George and the Dragon', circular, 39cm diameter and two similar: a lute playing angel and a king's head, 20cm diameter and 19cm diameter. Together with a fascinating sketchbook belonging to the artist, featuring all manner of armorial sketches, portraits, text and studies, some in watercolours and a box of printed armorial bearings, various.Gladys Spawforth worked at the Lowndes and Drury Studios which were formed by Mary Lowndes, who was an active member of the Women's Sufferage Movement and Alfred John Drury who taught at the Royal College of Art and Central School of Arts and Crafts in the 1900s alongside Christopher Whall, one of the leading members of the Arts and Crafts Movement. Originally sited at 35 Park Walk, Chelsea before moving to Lettice Street, Fulham, where the new premises became know as 'The Glass House' and studios were rented to stained glass artists who paid for the services of Lowndes and Drury from their commission fees. Lowndes and Drury closed in 1987 and many of their records are held in the V&A archive of art and design. These examples of her work provenanced direct to her descendent family.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The stained glass panels appear in good original condition, some wear but the glass appearing good. Detailed condition report on request. The sketchbook is in poor condition, although appearing complete, the spine is virtually broken.
A Manoville violinist automaton,Circa 1890, Playing a single air, with crank drive, violinist standing atop with painted bisque head, glass eyes, dressed in gilt trimmed conical hat, blue silk jacket, cream shirt, red breeches and blue shoes, holding violin and bow, turning head from side-to-side, moving bow across strings and tapping right foot up and down to the music, Manoville red painted tinplate case with oval study of the Swiss herder, on triple gilt pressed mask feet, crank with white porcelain handle – 10” high.

No. 6026, Hooked-tooth single-section comb movement playing two airs probably by Alibert, plain polished brass bedplate under glass dustlid, lower interior bays lined in light blue paper, with handwritten score of the music this movement plays, necessaire tray with all-matching mother-of-pearl implements including large scissors, needle case, thimble, two sets of twin bobbins, picker and darning needle, cut glass scent bottle, all with yellow metal mounts, in purple velvet inset tray with matching large rectangular pincushion, silk tray cover, full looking-glass lid interior, in flamed mahogany veneered case with boxwood and ebony inlaid 4-octave keyboard, on finely turned ebonised supports, key spindle, start/stop and change/repeat to underside, (small scissors missing) – 12” long, the cylinder 2.1/2”. (1)* Nils Desperandum F.C. was a sporting club in Cork, Ireland. When it was founded it was mainly a rugby club. In 1888, after "some years" of playing rugby "Nils," as they were known, played their first Gaelic football game.Within a few years Nils was one of the strongest Gaelic Athletic Association clubs in Cork. It had a headquarters on Marlboro Street and was largely represented by West Cork men who had come to the city to work. After winning the Cork Senior Football Championship in 1894, Nils went on to represent Cork in the controversial All-Ireland Senior Football Championship of 1894.
