*Mosaic game. Orientalisches Parquetspiel. Jeu de parquet oriental. The play of Oriental inlaid work, n.p., circa 1850, approximately 150 brightly coloured geometrical wooden pieces, four small pieces missing, with original hand-coloured folded pattern sheet (somewhat soiled and torn, laid down), and printed explanation leaf (creased and spotted), contained in original wooden square box with hand-coloured lithograph title label on sliding lid showing three oriental ladies playing a table game, rubbed, 26 x 26cm (10.25 x 10.25ins) Rare. 'In this new mosaic game the form agrees well with the colours; therefore not only the good taste of the children is cultivated by it, but also their mind is impelled to an inventive activity as they are obliged to look for new designs.' Who Wears the Crown, [1815], hand-coloured engraving, featuring fifty numbered and titled illustrations in a spiral, with Directions for Playing below, in twelve sections mounted on linen, toned and dust-soiled, 1.75ins split at edge of one fold, 61 x 44.5cm (24 x 17.5ins), housed in original slipcase with hand-coloured engraved label on front, browned and rubbed, with some minor wear Whitehouse, p.38. Rare. According to Whitehouse this is one of the very few publications carrying the Wallis's Sidmouth address. (1)

A Swiss musical box with 16cm cylinder and cone striking on three bells, No. 13586, playing ten airs, in a stained pine case, 48.5cm wide Condition Report: The case is badly scratched and the decoration is poor, the movement is in working order although the sound is rather tinny, the bells are in working order one finial screw replaced, song title sheet present.

Signed ('Sincerely, Cliff Richard') in bold blue fountain pen ink to a clear area of the image. Together with a vintage signed 9.5 x 7.5 photograph by both Cliff Richard and Hank Marvin individually, the image depicting the two musicians seated in three quarter length poses together on a bed, Marvin playing his guitar.
