A 19th Century oak and mahogany longcase clock by E. Williams of Trecastle, the 13ins arched painted dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the arch decorated with a seated figure playing a mandolin and classical arches to spandrels to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in oak and mahogany case with scroll pediment and turned pillars to hood, the trunk door inlaid with stringings and with banded quarter columns, on bracket feet, 87ins high (dial cleaned off and some figures repainted, case split in places and in need of restoration) Note : Evan Williams recorded working as a watchmaker in Trecastle 1840.
