THE DALTON BOYS - ALTERNATE MIX ACETATE OF TAKE MY HAND. Super rare and possibly unique version of Take My Hand presented on an uncut single sided 10" acetate. Recorded in Hitsville in August 1965 this version appears to have been rejected as "more voice presence needed". The playing surface of the 7" record on 10" acetate is in excellent condition with just a couple of light marks. The printed labels have the number "CBMN-2508-NH1", date of "8/30/65", track time of "2.43" and track name and group down as "Take My Heart / The Dalton Boys" although heart has been crossed out in black ink and corrected to "Hand". The acetate is still in its original Transco Products Corp. sleeve. Includes invoice from when it was originally purchased.

An iron sword of Oakeshott's Type XIb or XII with double-edged blade and tapering profile with rounded point, shallow fuller with inlaid inscription 'NRGDISIC' between two Greek crosses; parallel-sided straight lower guard and medium tang; the discoid pommel of Type H with chamfered edges, inlaid with the arms of the De Bohun Family, a bend argent cotised or between six lions rampant or; a strong battle weapon. Property of a Welsh private collector, acquired in the late 1970s; formerly in the Frank Starky collection, Birmingham, UK, since the late 1960s-early 1970s; accompanied by an academic report by military specialist Dr Raffaele D'Amato. The Bohun family was a member of English nobility since the Norman conquest, and playing, as Earls of Hereford and Essex, an important role in the English history with their marriages, until the end of the 14th century. The Bohun arms were in due course recorded by Matthew Paris as Azure, a bend argent cotised or between six lions rampant or (The Matthew Paris Shields c.1244-59', 1967, 19 no.33), but the first document attesting it, is a seal attached to a charter relating to land at Bisley in Gloucestershire, in which Humphrey (as earl of both Hereford and Essex, hence after 1236) displays a shield of arms, a bend between six lioncels (or lions rampant) and a legend identifying its owner merely as Humphrey de Bohun. Fine condition.

A Large Exhibition Type Longcase or 'Grandfather' Clock with a three train movement on eight chiming bells, supported by three large brass weights of varying sizes, playing Westminster and Whittington chimes. Subsidiary dials to the arched brass dial with silent and chimes display dial; the brass dial fitted with cast ormolu mounts to back corner, silvered chapter rings to the dial, maker or retailers name to the face, Thomas Armstrong and brothers, Manchester. Impressive mahogany case profusely inlaid with satinwood and various coloured exotic woods, with an Adams type urn to the central panel of the door; inlaid swags to the base, supported by shaped bracket feet. The hood with finely carved rosette roundels to the scrolls, with a central finial, fret work sides to the hood and finely matched Corinthian columns with capitals to both the case trunk and hood, 90'' high, 18'' wide, 12'' deep.
