A late 18th Century Sevres triangular tray, decoration possibly later, green ground, the centre painted with a vignette of a putto playing an instrument on a cloud, within gilt scroll cartouche, the sides with panels decorated with flowers and fruit, overglaze blue interlaced L's date letter I incised 21 (small chip to rim). 20 x 23.5cm.

Decorated with moulded bands and with a continuing scene of Sgraffito style decoration depicting a procession of figures, drinking, dancing and playing musical instruments. A nineteenth century Swiss rosewood cased cylinder musical box playing on nine bells, 33cm wide. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Polish faded. Comb repaired. There is tension in the spring but it feels as though it is broken slipping after a few winds of the handle. The mechanism does run. Fourth tooth from the right with the very tip missing.
A GOOD PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY MEISSEN CANDELABRA, CIRCA. 1850, the bases with a young gallant and lady both playing musical instruments, a dog and a lamb at their feet, the bases holding three branches encrusted with flower heads. Cross swords mark in blue. Incised No. F155 and F166. 20ins high.

A rectangular paper panel on a fabric backing with wooden roller; painted scene of a mother kneeling beside her sleeping child, two cats playing alongside; panel of calligraphic text and two red chop seals; attributed to Zhou Huang. 602 grams, 200 x 66cm overall, 67 x 46cm image (78 3/4 x 26"). Property of an American lady living in Arizona, USA. Huang Zhou (1925–1997), was actively involved in the art of the People's Liberation Army under which he became a staff painter at the Military Museum of the Chinese People’s Revolution. In 1981, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Painting. He was also a social activist who made outstanding contributions to the preservation and promotion of national art and to the advancement of public art education. [No Reserve]

A 27cm Symphonion disc musical box German circa 1910, the centre drive disc playing on two comb's No: 104743 contained in an ebonised and transfer decorated case, the hinged cover decorated with a roundel printed Brevete with National emblems, interior with a paper label with winding handle and start/stop control at the side together with ten discs. CONDITION REPORT: Lot 1827 - The hinged ebonised cover, shrinkage crack running left to right through lithograph, surface scratching to lithograph, lithograph angles and the general surface, Symphonion label crack to paper reflecting the stress crack, hinges good condition, damage to one key on the left hand comb right hand side, working order.
