Bluthner of Leipzig - Early 20th century overstrung upright piano, serial number 79496 (1910), in a mahogany case with three front case panels and folding music desk, with 85 keys (seven octaves) underdamper action, original hammers, stringing, tuning pins, dampers and felts, with sostenuto and sustain pedals. Julius Bluthner was considered to be one of the the best makers of German upright pianos in the early 20th century both for tone quality and build. Football, Nobby Stiles signed 12x18 black and white photograph pictured during his time playing for Manchester united in the 1969 European Cup as Stiles picks a fight with an AC Milan player after his team mate was hacked down during the semifinal 2nd leg. Stiles was an English footballer and manager. He played for England for five years, winning 28 caps and scoring one goal. He played every minute of England's victorious 1966 FIFA World Cup campaign. These buttons have always sold for anywhere from $1200 to over $2000 as they are that rare and desirable. There is only one early (1940's) button book that had an example pictured in it, thats how scarce they are. The detail along with the wonderful whimsicle design made this button extremely desirable. 1 Large 20th century hand carved scene under glass button. The buttons like this one are reminiscent of the 18th century hand carved and cut out of natural material buttons from Dieppe France. The Motiwala Brothers of India copied the technique in the 1950's and created examples like this one using various colored foil backgrounds set under glass and mounted in silver. This nice example depicts a man playing a horn while sitting under a detailed tree. Nice. These types of buttons are some of the scarcer type buttons the Motiwala studios produced.
