From the collection of actor Michael Jayston – John le Carré - Smiley's People - Jayston's personally owned first edition hardcover copy of the novel, signed by le Carré to the title page in blue ink. 1980, published by Hodder & Stoughton. With dust jacket, unclipped.  Jayston appeared in the 1979 film Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, based on the le Carre novel of the same name, alongside Alec Guinness. Jayston was also supposed to appear in the TV Series of Smiley's People but was otherwise contractually obligated to another project. With lovely sharp and clean labels. ZMT tax code side 2 label. Matrix/mother stampers: XEX 421-1N 2 GH & XEX 422-1N 1 L. Housed with the 1st printing 'right aligned' Angus McBean credit sleeve presented in great VG+ condition showing a few light creases and some minor wear to the reverse bottom right flipback tab, though no rips, tears or seam splits and with the spine sharp, clean and fully legible. Housed with clean og Emitex inner.

The record (black/yellow Parlophone label design, PCS 3042, with 'Recording First Published', no 'Sold In UK') is in fantastic Ex+ condition showing only a couple of extremely faint, slight and wispy paper marks to the playing surfaces and a little 'bubbling' to the label on side 2. Noted interesting 'crossover' pressing with 'double' pressing rim on side 1 and 'single' pressing rim on side 2 (possibly Pye contract pressing, with again unusually side 2 label only showing 'K' tax code opposed to 'KT'). Matrix/mother stampers: YEX 34-1 1 GO & YEX 95-1 1 T. The sleeve (original for this pressing, large stereo, 'left aligned' Angus McBean credit) sleeve is in stunning Ex+ condition showing only a couple of very small and minor 'creases' - the sleeve essentially feeling 'as new'. With clean original Emitex inner. Wicked copy.

The record (Decca unboxed labels LK 5025 P-2A/P-1A matrix endings) is in clean and glossy Ex condition showing some light surface scuffs to the playing surfaces - these are as stated and very light. Complete with lovely Ex condition poster and Ex condition original red mono inner. The sleeve (with original sticker) is in sharp Ex condition with a few minor scuffs and a couple of minor 'edge' creases.

The record (Island black/orange bullseye labels, stereo, ILPS 9059) is in very sharp and glossy VG+ condition showing some light and minor surface scuffs to the playing surfaces - these as stated and only very light and not heavier feelable scratches. The reverse opening gatefold sleeve is in cool Ex condition showing only very minor wear; with a lightly 'wavy' nature to the 'front' section though this is not water damage.

THE ZOMBIES - BEGIN HERE LP (ORIGINAL UK COPY - DECCA LK 4679). A fantastic condition original UK copy of the debut LP from The Zombies. The record (unboxed Decca label design, LK 4679) is in completely brill Ex+ condition - this album so scarcely seen this clean, there are only a couple of extremely minor, faint, slight and wispy paper marks to the incredibly lustrous and glossy playing surfaces. Matrix (machine stamped): ARL-6709-1A & ARL-6710-1A. The sleeve is in sharp VG+ condition with some rather minor laminate wear to the front and with some very minor foxing to the reverse where as name is written in pen on the top right section.

The record (RCA Victor SF 8031) is in superlative Ex+ condition showing only a couple of extremely minor, faint and wispy paper scuffs to the exceptionally clean playing surfaces. Super sharp and clean labels. The sleeve is in very neat VG+ condition with some rather minor ringwear and a couple of light scuffs. Without any rips, tears or seam splits and with the spine fully legible and clean.

Released in tiny number on independent Folk label Eron Enterprises, the record is in sharp Ex condition showing only a couple of very light and minor surface hairline marks to the playing surfaces and with a little foxing to the labels. The sleeve is in cool Ex condition showing a little foxing to the reverse - elsewhere lovely and clean.

Please note the record (2nd UK 'black and gold' mono pressing, PMC 1202 with Northern Songs credits for A1, A2,B4 & B6 and Dick James credits for A6 & A7) is graded in G condition with many surface marks and some light scratches to the playing surfaces, and with the labels somewhat faded though still fully legible. Matrix/mother stampers: XEX 421-1N 2 GL & XEX 422-1N 12 GM. Housed with a first printing 'right aligned' Angus McBean credit sleeve graded as G with noted tape repair to the flipback tabs, though with the front image still nice and clear and a second printing 'left aligned' Angus McBean credit sleeve graded in VG condition with some wear/lifting to the reverse flipback tabs though could be restored. With original Emitex inners.

The record (Philips PST 5148) is in clean VG+ condition showing a few light and minor surface hairline marks to the playing surfaces - these never at all heavier feelable scratches. With clean and sharp labels. Matrix/runout (machine stamped): 852146 1Y//3 â–½ 420 1 1 1 & 852146 2Y//2 1 3. The sleeve is in VG condition with some noted laminate creasing on the front and with some general edgewear to the reverse flipback tabs, though without any rips, tears or seam splits and with the spine in clear fully legible order.

The record (SHVL 765, unboxed Harvest labels, this version with 'Syd Barrett' 'higher' up on the labels) is in super strong Ex condition - both playing surfaces very clean and showing just a couple of very light and faint paper hairline marks. With sharp and clean labels. Matrix/mother stampers: SHVL 765 A-2G 1 P & SHVL 765 B-2G 1 R. The original laminated gatefold sleeve (dated 6911) is in sharp VG+ condition with some rather minor creasing and the 'non-opening' edge partially unglued (an easy repair).

The record (Midas Recordings MFHR 046) is in VG condition noted with a number of surface marks with a couple of 'just about feelable' scuffs. Playing surfaces remain lustrous and glossy. The sleeve is in neat VG condition with some light creases and a sticker on the front.

COMPLEX - THE WAY WE FEEL LP (ORIGINAL UK COPY - DEROY DER 671 S). The fabled second adventurous LP from Blackpool legends Complex - this a solid original UK 'green sleeve' copy released by Deroy. Please take note of the grading. The record is is in VG condition. Showing a few light and minor surface marks to the playing surfaces, please be aware that there is an apparent heat warp to the record - though this is not 'heavy' the record does not sit completely flat on the turntable. Play tested, there are no major issues with no skips or jumps - some surface noise can be heard on the quieter sections with the more apparent surface noise towards the start of side 2. The hand made sleeve is in solid VG condition. There is a small section of 'laminate' peeled on the front lower left section, though the sleeve retains strong 'integrity'.

The record (Atlantic plum labels 588171) is in solid VG condition showing some surface marks/scuffs to the playing surfaces though without any heavier feelable scratches. Matrix/runout (machine stamped) : 588171 A//1 1 1 5 & 588171 B//1 1 2(inverted) 1. The original turquoise lettering grey stripe sleeve is in sharp VG+ condition showing some minor creasing though no rips, tears or seam splits and with the spine nice, sharp and fully legible.

The record (one of only 150 copies) is in glossy VG condition containing a number of paper scuffs to the playing surfaces which has more than likely been caused by the scarce A4 press release that the record is housed with. The original picture sleeve is in sharp Ex condition with a little foxing on the reverse.

The sleeve isin VG+ condition with some minor creasing to the laminate - without any rips, tears or seam splits and with the spine fully legible.

The record (Columbia white label/red 'A' demo label, original pressing with serrated rim) is in glossy VG+ condition showing a few light and minor surface hairline marks to the playing surfaces, these are not heavier feelable scratches. With lovely clean and sharp labels. The scarce original promotional picture sleeve is in VG condition with some creasing noted and one or two very small paper tears.

Always extremely hard to come across original UK mono pressing of the seminal 1968 LP from The Velvet Underground. The record is in well presented VG+ condition showing a few light and minor surface marks/scuffs to the playing surfaces with one very light 'just about feelable' mark towards the start of B2 Sister Ray - play tested without any issues. Matrix (machine stamped): V 5046 A-1 & V 5046 B-1. The sleeve is in VG condition with some creasing to the front and some stain marks on the reverse. Original flipback design sleeve. No rips, tears or seam splits with the spine in clean order and fully legible.

Brass pull out draw for scoring pegs set to the underside, the drawer is engraved 'Sole Manufacturers, W. Thornhill & Co., 144 New Bond Street. London, Rd. 52608'. The top is hinged to the centre to enable it to fold up and the base is an X-frame. 70cm x 67cm x 69cm.
