A fernware bezique box, containing two fernware peg boards, a De La Rue & Co. score board and a pack of Goodall and Son playing cards, the box 17cm x 9cm x 4.5cm CONDITION REPORT: Box with wear to two front corners of lid. Pin to one hinge is sticking out. All four bottom corners slightly rubbed. Three white paint flecks to lid. Minor scratches and wear all over. Score boards in good order - one with a small flaked area of lacquer to the top right hand corner. Score table with wear to back and edges. Dents to interior of lid. Cards worn.

A 19th Century ivory and silk fan, the silk top half painted with scenes of children playing outside with sheep and buckets of water, the blades on the same side painted with a scene of a shepherd blowing two horns around sheep, the back initialled "MB" with a dove and a bee, signed "Duvelleroy London" housed in a leather fan case inscribed "Dolly" to top, 32 cm, together with a tortoiseshell and gold inlaid fan with black laced top initialled "HS" 26.8 cm, and a further 19th Century ivory and lace fan, the blades with pierced and engraved floral decoration, the silk and lace depicting a continental landscape depicting a house in the foreground initialled "AR", 35 cm long(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Tortoiseshell fan has a lot of play in the blades back and forth. Some small sections of missing gold inlay, backing fabric to the black lace fan is ripped and tatty, some losses. there are some rips mainly to the edges of the black lace, some damage to the body of the black lace, some holes, rips, etc. All over general signs of wear and tear. The next fan has both end blades broken but still present, the lace is yellowed, some rips and damage. The silk fan has some damage to the silk throughout, the whole is yellowed and appears to be "foxed". some dirty marks and various stainings, small scratches to the ivory, small minor chips etc. All items show signs of general wear and tear throughout

Loss and chip to one of the decorative dragons, some chips to the paint work have worn sections throughout, some light scratches. ENGLISH SCHOOL IN THE 17TH CENTURY MANNER "Gentleman in black shirt and white lace collar", a miniature portrait study, head and shoulders, watercolour, unsigned, 6.5 cm x 5.1 cm, housed in a plain ebonised frame(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Over all condition good though with some scuff marks to the edge where the picture has come in contact with the frame. Some dirt to the sitter's face around his left eye, above and below, and to his chin right-hand side. Backing of old playing card appears in poor condition with staining and water marking. Frame is dirty condition with scratches and dents throughout. Backing stained and worn - see images

Fine impressive English ebonised triple fusee massive bracket clock, the 11" silvered chapter ring signed J.C. Jennens, London enclosing a matted centre over an arched panel applied in relief with the figure of Father Time seated over a silvered plaque inscribed Tempus Fugit, the substantial movement with pull repeat and playing on a nest of eight bells, with hourly strike on a gong, the stylised foliate engraved back plate also signed J.C. Jennens, London, with locking pendulum and sunburst engraved bob, within an impressive ormolu mounted stepped case with moulded arched square caddy top surmounted by a pineapple finial, 38" high (pendulum, winding and door keys) *This clock is in superb condition after a recent complete professional overhaul. This clock is illustrated in Britten's - Old Clocks & Watches, ninth edition, page 500, where it is listed as 'Jennens, J.C., c1790, London, chiming bracket clock (The Hague)'
