`However, while the majoritiy of the floras of this kind place their main emphasis on the text, with the plates playing only a secondary role, the Flora danica, from its very start, chose the illustration of each plant taxon to be of prime importance, while the text was to perform a more supportive function, restricted to presenting the names of the plants, including their synonymies, and their habits and localities` (Buchheim, A bibliographical account of .. Flora danica, in: Huntia III, S. 161ff.). - Enthält alle von dem Ansbacher Arzt G. Chr. Oeder (Hefte I-X) herausgegebenen Lieferungen des monumentalen Werkes. Reisen begleiteten. `One of the greatest botanical publications undertaken, and still the greatest and most comprehensive pictorial survey of Scandinavian flora` (De Belder). - Titel mit altem Namenszug.
