Again, issued on the white Parlophone labels with black text stating 'LONG PLAYING TEST RECORD NOT FOR SALE' with 'The Beatles' handwritten. The label has '29 Jun 1965' stamped (the UK release date was 6th August 1965). This is 'side 2' with the matrix XEX 550-2. The record is in VG condition with some surface marks - these are only light and at no point are there any scratches to the playing surface. Complete with the 'sealed by quality control' white sleeve.

PLEASE PLEASE ME - STEREO 2ND- The ultimate Beatles LP now with this 2nd UK stereo pressing of the album that took the world by storm! Parlophone gold/black label (PCS 3042). With Northern Songs credits for tracks A1, 2, B4 and B6 with Dick James credits for tracks A6 and A7. The record is in Ex condition. There are a couple of minor surface marks to the playing surface, certainly nothing of a heavier nature and there are no scratches of any kind. The striking 'Parlophone Stereo' labels are in extremely clean condition. The 1st pressing sleeve is in strong Ex condition. A super example there is some very minor wear to the front laminate, some quite light edgewear and an original 'KT' tax code sticker placed on the bottom right on the reverse. An exemplary copy of this LP in which less than 900 were made.

Issued on Parlophone with a white label and black text staying 'LONG PLAYING TEST RECORD NOT FOR SALE' with 'The Beatles' written in hand. The record is 'side 1' with the matrix XEX 503-4N. The record is in VG condition with some surface marks to the playing surface - these are never heavier scratches and nothing can be 'felt' at all. Complete with the original 'white' sleeve which is stamped '4 NOV 1964' (a month before the official release date).

Please note the record is in Fair condition with heavy markings to both sides to the somewhat faded playing surfaces. Despite this, there aren't heavier scratches on either side. MATRIX: CE 17559 INTITI + CE 19560 INTIT2.

NO REPLY - PHILIPPINES 78 RPM - An extremely rare 10" 78 RPM recording of No Reply b/w Rock And Roll Music (PAL 60283) exported on the black/yellow Parlophone label. The record is in G+ condition with surface markings evident; there are no heavier scratches to the playing surface. With a faded sticker on the A side. MATRIX: PAL 60283 A + B.

PLEASE PLEASE ME - UK MONO 1st - The must for any collector, a 1st UK mono copy of the debut Beatles LP (PMC 1202). Issued on the striking black and gold Parlophone label with Dick James credits for all Lennon/McCartney compositions. The record is in VG condition. There are some surface marks/scuffs to the playing surface - these do not largely extend heavier with the exception of 2 light scratches on tracks A6 and 7. MATRIX/STAMPERS: XEX 421-1N 1 M + 422-1N 1 0. The labels are clean and sharp. The 1st pressing sleeve is in G+ condition with tape (largely on the reverse flipback) looking to have been placed at one stage to protect the cover, there are no rips or tears. There are also some stamps of the address of a previous owner on the back.

BAKERLOO - S/T - TEST PRESSING - A scarce single sided test pressing 'sample' of the eponymous 1969 LP (SHVL 769). The record is of 'side 2' containing the tracks 'This Worried Feeling' and 'Son Of Moonshine'. SHVL 769 -B2 matrix (pre-dating the stock release which had A-3U/B-3U matrix endings). The record is in VG+ condition with a couple of light surface marks to the playing surface. White label with stamped 'stereo'.

I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND/THIS BOY DICK JAMES ACETATE - An extremely rare original 'Dick James Music Limited' 7" acetate Demo Disc, an extremely early 1963 recording (TEM 1687/8). The playing surface, always exceedingly tricky to grade, is in G+ condition. There are surface marks and some wear to the lacquer, though this is never heavy or excessive. Obviously not made to be played extensively, the next owner of this piece of Beatles history could certainly play the record through without major playback issues. Issued with red text on cream labels with the track titles in blue. Some scuffing to the labels, this is not excessive. Issued with a cardboard sleeve with 'Sotheby's Belgravia 804762' sticker indicating that the record may have been purchased from one of their auctions. A sample of the recordings will be made available prior to the auction.

THE SOUND OF BILLY FURY (UK DECCA 10") - Tricky to source original UK 10"LP from 1962 (Decca LF 1329). The record is in VG condition with surface markings, though never heavy, to both sides. There are no scratches to the playing surface, and the labels are clean with some spindle wear. The front laminated sleeve is in VG condition with some laminate/ringwear to the front - this is not a major feature and this is a well presented copy of this rarity.

For all intents and purposes this is a very well presented Ex condition copy, the fun starts when you look at the side 2 label. One of the labels has mistakenly been printed onto the playing surface, extending into the first 4 tracks; it should be noted that this will have drastic effects to playback; but have you ever seen anything like this before?
