CRICKET- SOUTH AFRICA-WORLD CUP 2007 A set of South Africa playing shirts from the 2007 World Cup held in the West Indies, one per player and obtained by Andrew Hall who was a member of the squad. All the shirts , apart from that of Andrew Hall, are still in the original packaging and each shirt has the player name and number on the reverse. South Africa reached the Semi-Finals before losing to Australia in the Tournament. 15 shirts belonging to Hall (99), Pollock (7), Kemp (6), Smith (15), Ntini (16), Kallis (3), Langeveldt (67), Telemachus (37), Gibbs (7), Prince (5+0), De Villiers (17), Peterson (13), Bosman (14), Nel -89 and Boucher (9). JIMMY CHIPPERFIELD Jimmy Chipperfield was born in Bethnal Green in 1894 and after playing for numerous teams around the Luton area he played for Luton Town. During World War 1 he guested for Arsenal, being top scorer in two seasons and then signed for Tottenham in 1919 In 1921 he joined Notts County, then Northfleet before joining Charlton in 1923 His position was usually outside left (left winger). This Lot consists of a number of items relating to Jimmy Chipperfield and includes his birth certificate, postcards of several teams that he played for in his earlier days, school references, several newspaper cuttings, a rather battered and torn Tottenham postcard 1919-20. Three match action photographs are included , professional clubs possibly Arsenal but we cannot be certain of this. Pages Nov-58 of a 1914-15 Luton Town handbook are included plus a letter dated 1919 on FA notepaper re playing in a International Trial Match and the fee, 13 postcards from his earlier days including team groups of Luton Amateurs 1912-13, Dunstable Rd FC 1906-07. Albion A.F.C 1908-09 etc (some minor duplication), a handwritten pencil letter to the FA is also included although this has faded a little, for those with good eyesight , it is still possible to read. An interesting collection although as noted above, condition does vary. As described

A 19th Century gilt spelter figural mantle clock With a 8cm white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the two train eight day movement with outside count wheel striking on a saucer bell, the case surmounted with an urn and flanked by children playing musical instruments raised upon a brake front plinth base. 31.5cms high x 41cms.
An unusual musical clock surmounted with a bisque head dancing doll, late 19th Century With a 6cm dial, Roman numerals, pierced gilt metal hands, the key wound movement playing on a 4cm comb, the rectangular satin birch case surmounted with a bisque head doll dancing doll, the case raised upon a plinth base. 28cms high x 16.5x13cms. CONDITION REPORT: The doll, the wig faded and discoloured, costume lace work discoloured, gown faded from bright red, lacework edge worn, rectangular wooden top minor scratching, minor scratching to the edges, the dial good condition, fingers good condition, gilt brass outer bezel rubbed, top hinges the movement works but not gone for duration, musical movement apparently not working, one tooth of the comb broken.
