Four page issue with Army XI including players from Aldershot, Blackburn, Exeter, Halifax, Bury, Brentford, Cardiff, Shef Utd (Hagan) and Everton (Tommy Lawton). Quite a strong team for Alton to face although they were assisted by Denis Compton (Arsenal and Taylor of Bolton. Jimmy Dickinson also played for Alton although at the time he was described as a Youth Club player being 16 at the time and playing here for his birthplace team. Four page issue, folds.
