A late 19c French gilt garniture de cheminee comprising the clock and two four branch candelabra. The clock is set into a gilt cube which is inset with dark blue porcelain panels with gilt decoration. This is mounted above a rectangular box base also inset with a similar front panel and decorated with a cast shell. The clock is surmounted by a blue porcelain urn with gilt tracery and vignettes of classical scenes. The dial is similarly decorated and the movement is rack striking on a bell. The candelabra have similar but smaller bases with similar urns over, leading to four sconces which are surmounted by a female figure playing a tambourine, the clock 21" tall, the candelabra 20" tall.

Including Ingrid Bergman & Douglas Fairbanks Sr (on either side of one page), Erroll Flynn (signed Queen of Diamonds playing card), Clark Gable, Warren Beatty, Marie Dressler, Shirley Temple, Will Rogers, Deanna Durbin etc. Viewing in person recommended.
WHO, THE (AND ALEX HARVEY)Collection - (COL)An excellent collection of Who items relating to The Who`s legendary "Who Put The Boot In" 1976 tour of UK football grounds. Items include a waterstained and somewhat soiled copy of "The Who By Numbers" LP (1975) signed by Pete Townshend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon on the upper cover, and by support act Alex Harvey and SAHB members Hugh McKenna and Ted McKenna on the rear. Two concert tickets (Swansea & Charlton) with some wear, though one signed by Alex Harvey and Hugh Mckenna on the rear. A mimeographed copy of the show`s running order listing all acts playing and showtimes, and a slightly worn copy of the classic `Bellboy` programme, which includes Keith Moon`s signature over his notorious `Baggage Of The Month` centerfold nude photo, as well as signatures from Entwistle and Daltry over their respective images. Despite the condition of some items, this remains an excellent collection at an attractive price. All autographs apparently obtained at the backstage parties for the Swansea and Charlton shows. Two ivory Brooches, second half of the 19th century, one with openwork flowers surrounding a coquillia nut cabochon with figures, rose-gold mount, 5.2cm, the other deeply carved with figures playing weiqi in a garden, silver-gilt mount, 4.5cm (2) Condition Report Dents to gold frame of coquillia nut example. Second brooch has small splits. One foot missing.
