1991 Toyota Corolla 1295cc, manual, 5 door estate, reg. no. J867 UPU, finished in white with a navy blue velour interior. This rare modern classic was supplied new by Toyota main dealers Coronation Garage of Kirby Cross, Frinton-on-Sea. The first owner was a business based in Frinton, with the car being acquired by the late owner a few years later. It has clearly been cherished, and we believe been garaged for much of its life. We were informed the late owner spent in the region of £3,000 on bodywork shortly before he passed away, such was his love for the car. The service book contains only stamps from Coronation Toyota, these cease in 2007 when there was no more space in the book for further entries! There is a sticker under the bonnet detailed a cambelt change in 2021 - further clues to its charmed existence. Approximately 75,000 miles, MOT until 30th October 2025. Sadly any paperwork and receipts have been lost, and the car is supplied only with its handbook and service book pack, the current MOT and a single key. V5 to be applied for by the purchaser. A lovely example that deserves a new owner who will love it as much as the last! (Subject to 12% buyers' premium inclusive of VAT).

1952 Mercedes - Benz 220 Type A Cabriolet, reg. no. FCF 902D, chassis no. 187012/08808/52, engine no. 180T- 45890.Only three owners from new and owned since 1960. This desirable left-hand drive Mercedes-Benz was originally purchased by the late owner who was a British Army officer in the Intelligence Corps serving in Germany. He purchased the car on the 28th of September 1960 from Autohaus Mauss, Düsseldorf for 3500 DM. The car is attractively finished in white with green leather upholstery and black hood. During his military career the car travelled with him, and was exported to Cyprus in 1962. During this time the car and driver were caught in a riot, where it suffered a damaged windscreen after a projectile was thrown at it. The chip and crack are still there to this day. When it was time for him to leave Cyprus in March 1964, as he had grown extremely attached to the car he embarked upon a mammoth road trip with his wife from Cyprus through Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Greece, Yugoslavia, Italy, Austria, Germany, Holland and Belgium arriving back in England in the car one month later. It is supplied with an extensive collection of rare documents, including the original German 1952 logbook dated the 13 December 1952 listing two former owners, the 1960 bill of sale and related documents, 1958 service book, military petrol ration card, Republic of Cyprus registration document and import documentation registration BR 470 dated 1962, official 1964 road trip permit listing all the countries visited, entry to Beirut pass, English import documentation for 1966, old style British logbook and current V5 documents, service documents, old photographs of the car on its travels and an official workshop manual. It is understood it was taken off the road in in the 1970s and has been stored ever since with the engine periodically turned over to make sure it stays free as it is today. It represents a wonderful opportunity to buy a totally original very sound restoration project with very solid bodywork (the doors still shut like safe doors) and a fabulous history. The ultimate barn find now awaiting its next adventure. It is supplied with some spares and related automobilia. (Subject to 12% buyers' premium inclusive of VAT).

Originally supplied by Ryders Mazda of Bootle, the car has had just two former keepers, the first until 1999, with the second owner keeping the car until 2006, when the current keeper acquired it. The car has covered a very modest mileage of approximately 50,000 in its 27 year life. This mileage is backed up by MOT history and a well stamped service book which concludes with a final recorded service at Underwoods Mazda, Colchester on 3rd June 2012 at 48,906 miles. In later years the car has seen very little use, with the car remaining off the road in dry storage between 2020 and 2024. The car is offered for sale by direction of the late owner's executors. At their instruction, we have taken the car for MOT (31st October 2024), where it failed only on a non-functioning horn. Supplied with V5, handbook and service book pack and some old MOTs.
