A good Georgian Mahogany Bureau, the plain top over the cleated edge fall with moulded edge and brass escutcheon opening onto manual lopers, to reveal baize lined writing surface in front of seven pigeonholes over three drawers in turn over two long and one short drawers, the lopers flanking narrow frieze drawer over two lower long drawers, all with Oak linings, brass escutcheons and original brass circular embossed plate ring handles, standing on bracket feet, 35'' wide x 42 1/2'' high x 19 1/4'' deep.

At first Baden-Powell seems to have anticipated a co-educational movement, but agreed to produce a separate training manual for girls, in association with his sister Agnes.
