From the collection of noted collector, the late Ken Senior1971 Honda 49cc CZ50A Mini Trail 'Monkey Bike'Registration no. YE 6800 (see text)Frame no. 351357Engine no. 633344With the launch of the CZ100 in 1960, Honda created the class of machine known as 'monkey bikes', so called because of their diminutive stature. Off road-styled models, such as that offered here, were dubbed 'Mini Trail', although the 'off-road' features amounted to little more than knobbly tyres and an upswept exhaust. Supplied new by Harry Wood Ltd of Newcastle upon Tyne, this Mini Trail comes with its original logbook recording a change of registration from 'BJR 8K' to 'YE 6800' in June 1974, having been acquired in March of that year. However, it should be noted that the registration 'YE 6800' is not recorded in either the DVLA or HPI databases; accordingly, the successful purchaser will need to apply to the DVLA for the reassignment of that registration. In 1975 the Honda was given to Ken Senior's youngest son for his 10th birthday and used for only a short while. Additional documentation consists of the original service booklet and owner's manual; the original sales invoice; and the 1974 purchase receipt. Following a period of static display, the machine will require careful recommissioning at the very least, and possibly more extensive restoration, before returning to the road and thus is sold strictly as viewed.Footnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.Lot to be sold without reserve. For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

One owner from new1994 Ducati 916 SPRegistration no. DO-XV88 (DE)Frame no. ZDM916S*000496* Engine no. ZDM916W*000646*Following the launch of the original Ducati 916 Strada in 1994, higher performance models were not long in coming, commencing with the 916 SP which featured a host of improvements to the engine. As a result the SP produced 126bhp (later 131bhp) compared with the base-model Strada's 114bhp (later 109bhp), while on the chassis side there was an Öhlins rear shock absorber and numerous carbon-fibre body panels and other components. Weight came down to 422.4lb and the top speed increased to 168mph. The 916 SP was manufactured for two years only, with 310 built in 1994 and 401 in 1995. Our vendor purchased this Ducati 912 SP from Lappe Motorentechnik of Geseke, Germany in August 1994. The machine comes with its original guarantee booklet in the vendor's name recording its first service in October 1994 at 950km (the current odometer reading is 2,666km). The battery is flat so it has not been possible to determine whether or not the engine runs; accordingly, a full service and careful recommissioning is advised before further use. The Ducati comes with a file of documentation (in German) to include a certificate of authenticity; DEKRA correspondence; Fahrzeugschein and Fahrzeugbrief registration documents. It should be noted that the frame number is incorrectly recorded as '000493' on some of these documents. The machine also comes with an owner's manual; (copy) workshop manual; and two keys.Footnotes:Please note that this vehicle is from outside the UK. Our customs agents, Shippio Ltd, will manage all post sale customs administration. A fee of £350+VAT will be charged on the buyer's invoice to administer both import or export customs movements. 1990 Suzuki GSX-R750L 'Slingshot'Registration no. G934 AVTFrame no. GR7AA-100744Engine no. R716101096Suzuki rewrote the 750-class rulebook when it launched the GSX-R750 back in 1985. The 'Gixxer's development had been strongly influenced by lessons learned from the works TT F1 and Endurance racers; lighter than a 600 and as powerful as a 1000, it made all other super-sports 750s seem flabby and slow. Offered here is one of the most desirable early variants: the 'L' model, which reverted to a extensively revised 'long-stroke' engine (the 1988 and '89 models had a short-stroke motor) while adding 'upside-down' forks, Nissin 4-pot floating front brake callipers, and a 1' wider rear wheel rim to the package. It is also the last version to have the classic twin headlights. This well-maintained Gixxer has had three owners since new and has recently received comprehensive service. With only 36,841 miles on the odometer, it boasts a fresh oil filter, new spark plugs and a recently replaced battery as of August this year. The Slingshot comes complete with a V5C registration document, invoices, warranty card, service book, and owner's manual together with two sets of keys. The vehicle was purchased by the current vendor in 2019 and has been kept in good condition and comes with an MoT until August 2025.Offered with keyFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

2021 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650Registration no. FH21 LMFFrame no. *ME3CNEHT6MK002589*Engine no. P7A6FBM1079976From continuing production of the original Royal Enfield Bullet following the British manufacturer's demise at the end of the 1960s, India-based Royal Enfield has gone from strength to strength and now offers thoroughly modern motorcycles as good as any built anywhere. One of the firm's most significant introductions is the Interceptor family of 650cc twins, its first truly modern motorcycles. Launched in 2018, the Interceptor has been topping the UK sales charts ever since, thanks in no small part to its clever 'retro' styling - so evocative of Royal Enfields of the 1950s and 1960s - and outstanding value for money. Our vendor purchased this Interceptor from Bob Minion Limited, Derby in 2021 and was given its first service by them on 8th November of that year. A luggage rack has been fitted, but the detached rear grab rail is included in the sale. Used sparingly and kept dry stored in the workshop, the Interceptor currently displays a total of 7,822 miles (at the time of cataloguing/photography) on the odometer and was last run on 26th July 2024. The vendor's advancing age and ill health forces the sale. Accompanying documentation includes a current V5C Registration Certificate; the original purchase and first service receipts; various other bills/invoices; Royal Enfield Owner's Manual; and current MoT certificate valid until 30th June 2025.Offered with keyFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.Lot to be sold without reserve. For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

Lot 395

One family owned, 15,441 miles from new1980 Honda 901cc CB900F-A Super SportsRegistration no. EKY 59VFrame no. SC01-2102541Engine no. SC01E-2102538After Honda's SOHC 750 had taken the motorcycling world by storm, they probably made it for longer than they should. After all, - how do you follow an icon? The answer was with a radical re-style, and a double overhead camshaft motor. Introduced in 1979, the new machine, known as the CB750KZ, featured twin front discs, Comstar wheels, and an extra 10 bhp over the SOHC model. The same year, they also introduced a larger sibling, the CB900FZ, with similar styling. Also with a DOHC motor, but importantly with 4 valves per cylinder, and Comstar wheels, it was justifiably labelled Super Sports. For 1980, with minor styling tweaks, such as the reverse-black Comstars, it was re-labelled the CB900F-A. EKY 59V was purchased new by Michael Steel, from D.C. Cook Group Ltd. on 8th March 1980. He part-exchanged what appears to have been a one year-old CB900F with 850 miles on the clock (see original bill of sale on file). In 1984 he passed it on to his cousin who ran it thereafter for a number of years, including several trips to the Isle of Man TT. However, due to the owners age, the bike was retired from use at least ten years ago, and kept in dry storage, having covered a total of only 15,441 miles in total. It has, therefore, had only two owners from new, but due to standing, will now require re-commissioning, and attention to the front hydraulic brakes, which no longer function. Documentation comprises a current V5C, an old V5C, the aforementioned original Bill of Sale, together with the Owners manual, and service booklet. Offered with keyFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

1976 Triumph 744cc Trident T160Registration no. MYH 279PFrame no. T160 KK05945Engine no. T160 KK05945Triumph/BSA examined a variety of configurations and capacities to offer as their flagship model in the late 1960s, and settled on a 750cc triple. Their racing efforts became legendary, and Norman Hyde was involved in the design and development of the Trident and their racers. Employed by Triumph in the Experimental Department, overseen by Doug Hele, Hyde later went on to build a business in the supply of spares and tuning parts for the threes, developing 850cc and 1000cc conversions which can supply power on a par with some Japanese rivals. Introduced to the public in April 1969, the first Tridents ran, gaining a five-speed gearbox along the way, until 1975 when the T160 appeared, sporting an electric-start facility. MYH 279P was restored a few years ago by a previous owner, and an inspection of the documents file reveals a sheaf of invoices from suppliers such as L.P. Williams, Norman Hyde, Sussex Triples, and others, demonstrating that it has been fitted with new brake hoses, Boyer electronic ignition, and many other parts in the course of its refurbishment. It was acquired by the present owner earlier this year, and he has serviced it, fitted a new battery and new fuel. He advises us that it starts, runs, and rides extremely well, and that the electric starter operates satisfactorily when the engine is warm. He has used it occasionally, but it is now surplus to requirements, and therefore offered to a new home. Documentation comprises a current V5C, the aforementioned quantity of invoices, and a copy workshop manual.Offered with keyFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

Property of a deceased's estate1928 Norton 498cc Model 18Registration no. MW 3082Frame no. 30825Engine no. 36430 (see text)•Desirable Vintage-era 'flat-tanker'•Present ownership since 1980•An older restoration•Good history fileLike the majority of their contemporaries, Norton relied on the sidevalve engine until the 1920s when the existing and well-tried 490cc unit was used as the basis for the firm's first overhead-valve design. Newly introduced for 1923, Norton's Model 18 OHV sports roadster quickly established a reputation for both speed and reliability when a standard engine assembled from parts was used to set a host of records, including a new 12 hours mark. The Model 18 retained its essentially Vintage characteristics until 1931 when the range was extensively redesigned, dry-sump lubrication and rear-mounted magneto being standardised, the most obvious external alteration in its appearance before then being the adoption of a 'saddle' tank for 1929. There were numerous improvements made to the engine throughout the 1930s, including enclosure of the valve gear, while Norton's own four-speed foot-change gearbox replaced the old Sturmey Archer in 1935. Production of an essentially unchanged 1939 model resumed after WW2. Like the majority of their contemporaries, Norton relied on the sidevalve engine until the 1920s, when the existing and well-tried 490cc unit was used as the basis for the firm's first overhead-valve design. Penned by James Lansdowne Norton himself and first seen in prototype form in 1922, the overhead-valve Norton made little impact in that year's Senior TT, though at Brooklands D R O'Donovan raised the world 500cc kilometre record to over 89mph using the new motor. A road-going version - the Model 18 - was catalogued for 1923, quickly establishing a reputation for both speed and reliability when a standard engine assembled from parts was used to set a host of records, including a new 12 hours mark. Alec Bennett won the Senior TT for Norton in 1924 and, demonstrating that racing really did improve the breed, the Model 18 gaining Webb forks and better brakes for 1925 as a direct result of the works team's experiences. The Model 18 retained its essentially Vintage characteristics until 1931 when the range was extensively redesigned, dry-sump lubrication and rear-mounted magneto being standardised. The most obvious external alteration in its appearance before then had been the adoption of a 'saddle' tank for 1929. There were numerous improvements made to the engine throughout the 1930s, including enclosure of the valve gear, while Norton's own four-speed foot-change gearbox replaced the old Sturmey Archer in 1935. Production of an essentially unchanged 1939 model resumed after WW2 and then for 1947 the Model 18 was up-dated with Roadholder telescopic forks in common with the rest of the Norton range. Production ceased in 1954.Formerly attached to a sidecar, this Vintage-era Model 18 was registered to the late owner on 18th May 1980. An older restoration, the machine comes with a good history file containing an old-style buff continuation logbook (issued 1962); a photocopied manual; and old V5/V5C documents. It should be noted that these registration documents record the engine number as '38114'.Footnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

2013 BMW 798cc F800GTRegistration no. RJ63 CKGFrame no. WB10B0304EZ050079Engine no. 802EA*08828943*The BMW F-Series began in 1994 with single cylinder 650cc models. Originally built for BMW by Aprilia, with a Rotax engine, they were equipped with four valves per cylinder, and were an entry-level model for the marque. From 2008, the engines were replaced by twin cylinder ones, liquid cooled, and made by BMW themselves, in a number of different models with varying power outputs and configurations. Whilst the 800s were popular as a GS model, in 2013 the F800GT touring model was introduced, and riders found them to be an excellent general road/touring model. RJ63 CKG was purchased by the owner with 19 miles on the odomater in March 2014, having been registered on 2nd December 2013, possibly by the dealer, so the owner appears as the second keeper. It has been little used by the vendor, and thus far, covered only 346 miles in total from brand new at the time of consignment. Despite the low mileage, the BMW has been twice serviced by BMW main dealers, fitted with an Akrapovic silencer, and has had four MoTs in the course of the present ownership. The F800GT has been kept in very good conditions, remains in pristine order, and is effectively a new motorcycle in all but name. However, whilst it starts and rides, having been standing since the last Mot, it will require the lightest of re-commissioning and safety checks. Documentation comprises a current V5C, an old V5C, some of the expired MoT certificates, the aforementioned service invoices, the original bill of sale, the original book pack with rider's manual, warranty and service booklet. The David Collier Collection1980 Ducati 864cc 900SSRegistration no. JOY 213VFrame no. DM860SS *088607*Engine no. 08815 DM860•Iconic Ducati•Low mileage•38 year enthusiast ownership•Terrific conditionIt is not hard to see the appeal of Ducati's Super Sport models following their arrival in the mid-1970s. From their booming V twin engines to their fabulously sleek styling, they were a tempting alternative to the mainstream four-cylinder Japanese superbikes of the time. David Collier became the fourth owner of this lovely 900SS in April 1986. First registered on 2.2.1980, it had spent the first six years of its life in Hillingdon, West London in the hands of 3 different owners, two of whom were probably brothers. David has never registered it in his own name because he has always ridden it on trade plates. It is accompanied by a V5 registration document, a Ducati 750SS & 900SS Desmo owner's manual, warranty book showing the first owner's details but no service entries, the handwritten receipt from 1986, and some old MOT certificates. The displayed mileage is only 10,784 which David believes to be genuine, though not warranted. In February 1987 after he had ridden it for about 700 miles, he embarked on a restoration which is covered in his service log and across multiple pages of handwritten notes and drawings (supplied). Despite being a trained mechanical engineer, his fastidious commitment to doing things correctly is illustrated by the fact that he enrolled in one of Ducati guru Tony Brancato's training courses prior to the rebuild. David's handwritten course notes are included in the sale. The 900SS still presents very well today and is showing some nice age related patina. The fork sliders have been left in bare alloy because that's how he prefers them. It is fitted with those beautiful Conti silencers, and a detached dual seat is supplied. The generator warning light glows when the engine is running, but David tells us that checks have indicated that the charging rate is correct. Following the rebuild the bike was used until the early 1990s after which it was laid up until 2012, and then used only for a year or so by which time the mileage had reached its present level. It has been recommissioned in the last few months; however, it is recommended that the tyres are replaced before further use. Throughout his ownership it has been stored in ideal heated conditions. We urge interested bidders to view the running video on our website. Such is his confidence in the machine that, subject to his health allowing it, David is happy to provide technical support and advice over the telephone to the new owner. This is a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptional low mileage example of Ducati's iconic bevel drive 900SS. Prospective bidders should satisfy themselves as to the motorcycle's completeness and mechanical condition prior to bidding. Sold strictly as viewed.Offered with keyFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

1970 Münch 1200 TTS 'Mammoth'Registration no. not registeredFrame no. 116Engine no. 116•Ultra-rare limited edition superbike•Sold new in Germany•Only 33,485 kilometres recorded•Requires recommissioning/restorationIn 1965 Friedel Münch, formerly with the Horex racing department, was approached by wealthy French ex-sidecar racer Jean Murit with a simple brief: build a no-expense-spared 'superbike', though the latter term had yet to be coined. Münch found his ideal engine in the form of the air-cooled overhead-camshaft four powering the recently introduced NSU Prinz car. For Murit's machine he used the 1,000cc TT sports version of this engine which, tuned for 60bhp, proved capable of propelling the bulky Mammoth to a top speed of 120mph. Nothing too remarkable there you might think, but while several contemporary production motorcycles could achieve a similar maximum, it was the Mammoth's ability to accelerate powerfully from 20mph in top gear and cruise all day at 110mph that set it apart from the herd. The engine was housed in a cradle frame inspired by the Manx Norton, and to keep the weight down Münch made extensive use of Elektron magnesium alloy, which was used for the gearbox shell, rear chain case, fork sliders and brakes. The result was a commendably low dry weight for the prototype of 433lbs, though production versions would weigh considerably more. Elephant Rally founder and Das Motorrad journalist Ernst Leverkus rode the bike in 1966 and the resulting worldwide publicity provoked a rush of orders. The production Mammoth (the name would later be dropped for copyright reasons) first appeared at the Cologne Show in September 1966, by which time the capacity had risen to 1,085cc, power to 70bhp and the top speed close on 140mph. Hand built to individual customer order, the Mammoth eventually used the 1,177cc version of the NSU four with power outputs of up to 104bhp. It is estimated that fewer than 500 machines of all types were built. Currently displaying a total of 33,485 kilometres on the odometer, this particular Mammoth comes with a list of its owners in the 1970s, of whom there were six (see Kraftfahrzeugbrief on file). Also on file is correspondence from Friedel Münch; various pieces of marque-related copy literature; a Münch TTS 1200 Brochure and pamphlet; copy owner's manual; and a spare parts catalogue. Clearly unused for a considerable period, the machine will require careful recommissioning, or possibly more extensive restoration, before further use and thus is sold strictly as viewed. Prospective purchasers must satisfy themselves with regard to the condition, completeness, authenticity and compatibility of this Lot's component parts prior to bidding.Footnotes:Please note that this vehicle is from outside the UK. A4020Engine no. 51/18S 995 C'At the end of the rigid's development with the ultra lightweight model announced in September 1953, those gleaming black machines with proud gold (AJS) or silver lining (Matchless) were the acme of the trials manufacturers' art, and were almost an exact replica of the highly successful works machines.' – Don Morley, Classic British Trials Bikes, Osprey, 1984. Our vendor purchased this AJS Model 18 Trials in 2009; it had never been used on the road and was unregistered. He registered the machine in September 2009 in Brighton with the age-related number '329 XUW'. According to the vendor, the engine was not in too bad a condition: the big-end bearing was good, the small-end was renewed, the cylinder re-bored and the correct piston for a competition model fitted. In addition, the valves were reground and fitted with new springs, a new clutch fitted and all chains renewed. Since then the AJS has covered around 1,420 miles, all of them on the road. The machine is offered with a V5C document and a reproduction Maintenance Manual and Instruction Book.It should be noted that the VC5 records the engine number as '51/185995C', whereas it is actually'51/18S 995 C', the 'S' being mistaken for a '5'.Footnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

1963 Royal Enfield 248cc Crusader TrialsRegistration no. 116 UFKFrame no. 20174Engine no. 10078Royal Enfield's Bullet had proved an outstanding trials motorcycle, but by the early 1960s the days of such 'heavyweights' were numbered. Lightweights were now seen as the way forward, and so the Redditch factory turned to the only suitable machine in its range: the 250 Crusader. A works Crusader prototype first competed in the late 1950s with mixed results, and it was not until 1960 that Irish ace Benny Crawford brought the marque its first major success, winning the Irish national championship, a feat he repeated the following year. The Crawford-developed production version debuted at the Motor Cycle Show in the autumn of 1961, the works riders for the 1962 season being Enfield stalwarts John Brittain and Peter Fletcher. This original Crusader Trials was purchased new by one Eric John Vine from Eric Williams Ltd of Worcester. The original purchase invoice is on file recording that the bike was 'fitted with lights'. An older restoration, the Crusader appears untaxed since February 1989 and there is no DVLA MoT history. The current odometer reading is 12,075 miles. Documents on file suggest that '116 UFK' passed from Eric Vine to a Mrs Carole Vale in April 2012, and then (via an auction) to the current family ownership in November 2012. Additional documentation includes a photocopied V5C and an original instruction manual.Footnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Saturday 12 October starting at 2pm GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

1976 Suzuki 738cc GT750ARegistration no. NVU 7PFrame no. GT750-69261Engine no. GT750-76113By 1971, most motorcycle manufacturers who weren't producing a 'superbike' were well on the way to doing so, playing catch-up with Honda after the release of the CB750. Suzuki were no different to the others, and had been working on a range of triples which included a big bike flagship, the GT750. Announced in 1971, and entering the market in 1972, the GT750 fitted the bill in terms of exotic elements with multi cylinders, liquid cooling, and a five-speed gearbox. Early models had a four leading shoe front brake and were capable of effortless cruising at (for the time) relatively high speeds. Following criticism of the brakes, the GT was fitted with twin front discs the following year. The model offered is a GT750A from 1976. Purchased in August 2014 by the present owner, NVU 7P had been restored by a previous owner over a long period, and there are some receipts on file for parts, and work done. The exhaust system is an original re-chromed, and the gear indicator display works correctly. Since 2014, the present owner has covered 2,523 miles, including a trip to Brighton from the North of England without any problems. He advises us that the Suzuki runs and rides very well, and he has just fitted a new battery, but he now requires extra space in his garage. Documentation comprises a current V5C, some expired MoT certificates, and the aforementioned receipts, together with a workshop manual. 1955 BSA 350cc B31Registration no. UCV 6Frame no. CB31.9246Engine no. BB31.20207BSA's rugged, workaday B31 was manufactured from 1945 to the end of 1959, its overhead-valve engine providing the basis for the renowned Gold Star sports roadster. At the time of its introduction the B31 was BSA's sole all-new model, joining the lightweight 'C' and heavyweight 'M' ranges carried over from pre-war days. Produced initially with rigid frame and telescopic front fork, the B31 gained (optional) plunger rear suspension in 1949 and an all-new swinging-arm frame in '54. A good all-round performer by the standards of its time, the B31 could cruise comfortably all day at 60mph while returning 75-plus miles per gallon, virtues that endeared it to private owners and police forces alike. Our vendor purchased this B31 from a deceased's estate in 2022; other than cleaning the machine he has not done any work on it. Following a very serious water skiing accident last summer, which put him out of action for a few months, the vendor has decided to start reducing the size of his collection, hence the sale of this B31. Last run approximately 3-4 years ago, the machine comes with a current V5C; old-style continuation logbook; BSA Owners' Club letter; previous owner's 2021 purchase receipt ; and a BSA spares manual.Offered with keyFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.Lot to be sold without reserve. For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

G5E182765Kawasaki's single cylinder two stroke was in production in various guises from the early 1970s until 1998 when it was discontinued due to emissions regulations. In a retrospective review MCN gave it a 4/5 rating and said 'if you want basic transport in a two stroke trail bike package then the Kawasaki KE100 is arguably the template for the entire class'. Weighing just 85 kgs, with a disc valve engine generating 10.5 bhp, and a five speed gearbox, progress should be reasonably brisk. MCN suggest a top speed of 65mph.David Collier bought this one as a paddock bike in 1991. Unused and dry stored since 1993, in 2011 David fitted a cut down Craven rack after which it was used for local shopping trips. It presents beautifully, and after 33 years the odometer reading is just 753 miles. David describes it simply as 'ready to ride'. It is accompanied by a V5, service/warranty book, owner's manual, some old MOTs, and a spare/standard saddle. We urge interested bidders to view the running video on our website. Property of a deceased's estate2006 MV Agusta Brutale 750 SRegistration no. YJ56 VOVFrame no. ZCGF411AA4V003541Engine no. F4A411967When Suzuki effectively kick-started the current trend for so-called 'naked' bikes with the Bandit series – introduced in 1989 – it would only be a matter of time before rival manufacturers climbed aboard the bandwagon. In MV's case it took over a decade before they had a contender in the form of the Brutale, which was first seen at the Munich Intermot Show in 2000. Designed by Massimo Tamburini (the 'ta' of Bimota), the Brutale was based on his MV Agusta 750 F4, and like its superbike progenitor commenced production with a run of 300 high-spec 'Serie Oro' models, the regular Brutale 750 S following later in 2003. Looking very much like an F4 minus it bodywork and under-seat exhausts, the Brutale 750 S weighed 185kg (407lb), had a maximum power output of 127bhp at a heady 12,500 revs, and was good for a (limited) top speed of 250km/h (114mph). This Brutale was acquired by the late owner in 2011. Having inherited the MV, the vendors know little about the machine other than it has covered 3,937 miles, last ran in 2016, and is currently a non-runner. Sold strictly as viewed, the Brutale comes with its warranty booklet, use and maintenance manual, workshop manual (on CD), some old MoTs, Datatool installation certificate, and old/current V5C Registration Certificates. 1992 Harley-Davidson 1,200cc XLH SportsterRegistration no. J799 DYAFrame no. 1HD1CAP16NY116052Engine no. CAPN116052First registered in the UK in January 1992, this XLH Sportster has belonged to the lady vendor (the second owner) since its purchase in 1995. In 2000 the Harley was customised, receiving a 'solid' rear wheel, new rear mudguard, Screaming Eagle exhausts, design mirrors, and paintwork by 'Born to be Wild'. The original peanut tank, spoked rear wheel, rear mudguard, air filter assembly, and a set of 'blue dot' indicator covers/tail light assembly are included in the sale, enabling the machine to be returned to original specification if so desired. The vendor rode around 50,000 miles on this much loved Sportster up to 2013 when it was SORN'd until 2017. The last six years have seen the Harley used less frequently on account of the vendor's advancing age; it has, however, continued to be garaged and maintained. Reluctantly hanging up her motorcycling gear, our vendor hopes the Sportster will be ridden and loved by the next owner. Also included in the sale are two sets of leather saddlebags, three leather tool rolls, a tall cissy bar, a King & Queen seat, Owner's Manual, and other service manuals. MoT'd to 30th June 2025, the machine comes with a V5C document.Footnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

1941 Indian 500cc 741BRegistration no. KVS 917Frame no. 74128125Engine no. GDA26668This lovely 'civilianised' Indian 741B was restored around 30 years ago by former 'Wall of Death' rider, the late Ned Kelly (real name Neil Smart) and cherished until he passed away. Trained in Motorcycle Engineering at Merton College, Neil started his 'Wall of Death' career with the Motordrome Co in 1988 before moving on to Graham Cripsey's show in Hull and then to other WoD shows in Germany. Neil purchased the Indian as a 'basket case', restored the machine to pristine condition, and then rode it on the West Kent Run a few times. The vendor purchased the Indian some years ago and recommissioned the machine after it had been off the road for several years. Recent works include stripping and cleaning the clutch; removing and cleaning the carburettor; and fitting new foot boards. The paintwork is in generally good condition with some signs of use and the restoration has stood the test of time well, having acquired a delightful patina. It would be relatively easy return the machine to concours condition should the next owner so wish. Our vendor advises us that the Indian starts, runs, and drives but will need some fine tuning to get it perfect for longer runs (ignition timing and carburettor adjustment). Accompanying documentation consists of DVLA SORN paperwork; some old tax discs; and a current V5C. A BM-S manual is included.Key not requiredFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

The Robin Spring Collection1998 Honda 899cc FirebladeRegistration no. R596 RDPFrame no. JH2SC33AXWM207445 (See Text) Engine no. SC33E-2216963 (See Text)Every so often a model comes along that rewrites the rulebook for sports motorcycles, one of the most influential of modern times being Honda's FireBlade. Launched in 1992, the FireBlade blew away the opposition with its combination of litre-bike performance and a 600-sized package. Superbly styled and evocatively titled, it was recognised as a future classic almost immediately, and early and unmolested examples command high prices today. This example was acquired by Robin on 2nd September 2000 having had two previous keepers. The vendor advises us that the alarm is disconnected and that the battery is flat and may need replacing. Seat screws are under the seat. Original silencer is supplied. Accompanying paperwork includes a V5C document (please note the discrepancies mentioned above); various MoTs (most recent expired 5th July 2018); and an MSG Racing & Dyno invoice and report from 2014 showing 121.15bhp. The original owner's manual and Datatag paperwork are also supplied. According to Gov.uk MoT history, the last test was conducted on 13th May 2021 at 10,170 miles. However, earlier entries on the Gov.uk website show a higher mileage as well as other discrepancies. (These may be due to 'trip' readings instead of the total mileage travelled.) Some fairly extensive recommissioning will be required before taking to the road. Prospective bidders should satisfy themselves as to the motorcycle's completeness and mechanical condition prior to bidding. Sold strictly as viewed. 1995 Honda RVF750R Type RC45Registration no. M765 KTYFrame no. RC45 2100055Engine no. RC45E-2100050•Iconic WSBK 'homologation special'•Delivered new in the UK•Present ownership since 2016Replacement for the exotic VFR750R (RC30), the RVF750 (RC45) was another racer-for-the-road and even more exclusive. Like its illustrious predecessor, the RC45 was a thinly disguised, limited edition, 'homologation special' intended to provide Honda with the means to win the World Superbike Championship, a feat it achieved in 1997 with American John Koscinski riding. Although clearly related to the RC30, the RC45 took development to the next level, there being scarcely a single component that had not been carefully scrutinised by Honda technicians with a view to improvement. Developed jointly by Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) and Honda R&D, the engine remained a 90-degree V4 with gear-driven cams, but was an all-new, more compact design featuring simplified camshaft drive, narrower valve angle, beefier clutch, and PGM-FI electronic fuel injection. A maximum power output of 120bhp was claimed for the standard road version, while in excess of 150bhp was attainable with the factory tuning kit. Basically similar to that of the RC30, the frame consisted of a combination of aluminium castings and extrusions supporting the familiar single-sided swinging arm at the rear. At the front however, the conventional forks had gone, replaced by a set of cartridge-type 'upside-downers', while braking had likewise been improved courtesy of Fireblade callipers and NR750 discs. Hand built on a special assembly line at HRC, the RC45 was necessarily expensive: at a fraction under £18,000 when launched it cost over 50% more than a Ducati 916! Its high price and rarity ensured that the RC45 would achieve the same iconic status as the RC30, becoming equally, if not more, collectible. This RC45 was sold new by M&S Motorcycles of Newcastle upon Tyne and first registered on 3rd June 1995. Our vendor has owned the Honda since November 2016 and the V5C states it has had two former keepers. Kept dry stored, the machine has been used sparingly and on summer days only. Accompanying documentation includes the original owner's manual and service book (signed by Aaron Slight & John Kocinski); sundry bills; a quantity of expired MoTs; the aforementioned V5C; and MoT to August 2025. The machine last ran in August 2024.Offered with keyFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

It must surely be one of the most original examples in existence. It is accompanied by its new vehicle order form, V5, owner's manual, March 1986 MOT certificate (mileage then 6,786), and the dealer Moto Prince's letter regarding the crankshaft recall inspection. The first owner's notebook (supplied) records '26.8.80 Jota taken to Mo-Todd in Croydon for new crankshaft'. Minor scuffs are visible on the frame from that day when the engine was removed and refitted by the Laverda factory technicians at Mo-Todds. His last entry in the notebook reads '19.10.86 Sold Laverda to Dave Collier. Heartbreak to see it go'. David bought the bike to complete his ultimate Italian threesome: Guzzi Le Mans, 900SS (also in the sale), and Laverda Jota. In the same above mentioned notebook David recorded that on 19.6.88 he rode the Jota for 12 miles – which took its mileage to the reading that we see today. It hasn't been ridden since that day 36 years ago, has been dry stored in heated conditions ever since, and has been recommissioned over the last 12 months. The clutch was overhauled, and there has been a full hydraulic overhaul of the brakes. A new battery is fitted. All carburettor components were cleaned, and the float valves were replaced, but while it carburates well, it has proved difficult to set a reliable idle. In retrospect David thinks that he should also have replaced the pilot jets – and this, as well as fitting new tyres, remains a job for the new owner. The original toolkit is under the seat, as well as the little oil can which came with the Jota when new. Because he was able to ride on trade plates David never registered the bike in his own name. We urge interested bidders to view the running video on our website. Such is his confidence in the machine that, subject to his health allowing it, David is happy to provide technical support and advice over the telephone to the new owner. This is a not to be missed opportunity to acquire an exceptionally original low mileage Jota. Prospective bidders should satisfy themselves as to the motorcycle's completeness and mechanical condition prior to bidding. Sold strictly as viewed. 1937 New Imperial 148cc Model 23Registration no. DNK 33Frame no. 97/35262/23Engine no. 107/43266/23•Nicely presented New Imperial lightweight•Benefitting from various works in 2022Builder of the last British-made machine to win the Lightweight 250 TT during the pre-war era, New Imperial was unsurpassed for innovation during the 1930s, offering models featuring pivoted fork rear suspension and unitary construction of the engine and gearbox. Introduced for 1933, the unitary construction Model 23 was based on an unconventional, stillborn prototype, first seen in 1932, which carried its valve gear behind the cylinder. The production Model 23 was more conventional as far as its valve gear was concerned but less so elsewhere, featuring unitary construction of the engine/gearbox, geared primary drive, and coil ignition. Qualifying for a reduced rate of road tax for up-to-150cc machines, the Model 23 was a huge success for New Imperial and continued in production until 1940.This nicely presented New Imperial lightweight has clearly benefited from ongoing maintenance and restoration throughout its life, as detailed by the accompanying history file. Most recently (in 2022), the machine benefited from the following works (receipts on file):•Engine bolt locknuts•Fresh Brooklands Monograde oil•Some electrical repairs•Fitting of flashing indicators, including fabrication of brackets•Adjustment and rebuild of the throttle•Road test and adjustment (by Creed & Shore Motorworks Ltd)While in the previous Hull-based ownership, the machine benefited from the works listed below circa 2014-2015. Receipts on file and accompanying restoration images suggest this is when the machine was last restored, including:•New batteries and a new Lucas battery case•Vapour cleaning of engine castings•Replacement tool box, number plate, stand, mudguard, wheel•Brake hubs•Brake arms•Brackets•Mudguard brackets•Handlebars•Fork links•Headlamp stays•Some re-chroming•Paint•Various new bolts throughoutThe 2015 New Imperial Owners' Association inspection report (on file) suggests that the vehicle registration had lapsed (hence the inspection), indicating the machine had been off the road for some time. The accompanying 1945 continuation logbook lists Bryan Carter of Bedford as owner in 1945, with no further entries. It is not known when the current owner purchased the machine, but certainly some time between 2015 and when the last V5C was issued in 2022. The machine is also offered with a maintenance manual, owner's guide and spare parts manual (all copies) and the aforementioned extensive history file of assorted paperwork (inspection recommended).Key not requiredFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioFor further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

Single owner & 9,337 miles from new1999 Ducati 996 BipostoRegistration no. T162 JJCFrame no. ZDMH200AAWB001780Engine no. ZDM996W4*003904*• Single owner from new• Only 9,337 miles from new• Many improvements, with original parts retainedThe Ducati four-valve era began with the 851 and 888 models, alongside a range of unfaired road models. The 888 eventually gave way to the 916 in 1994. The first model was the 916 Strada, which was joined by the 916SP (Sport Production) then the 916BP (Biposto). Then, in 1997 came the 916SPS (Sport Production Special), a limited edition homologation version with larger 996cc capacity, cast iron fully floating discs, Ohlins rear suspension, carbon fibre fairing and parts. The 996 arrived in 1999.T162 JJC was purchased new by the vendor in February 1999 from Woods Motorcycles of Abergele, and since that time has covered only 9337 miles. Since acquiring the machine, the vendor used it most years up to 2015, but for very limited mileages only. Apart from the first service, carried out by Woods, the machine was maintained by John Hackett at JHP Coventry, a well-respected Ducati dealer who supported the Ducati press fleet, has provided race preparation for Superbike teams, and also TT and Macau GP bikes for top riders. It was fitted with Ohlins fork internals, the rear shock changed to an Ohlins item, and the spring rate altered. Racing carbon cam belts have been fitted, a JHP air filter, SPS Eprom, a Bucci slipper clutch, carbon cover, rearsets fitted, pillion rests removed, and a full race Termignoni 50mm exhaust. Mirrors are replaced with integral indicator-type ones, a bubble screen fitted, and the gearing changed for better acceleration. Most of the original parts have been kept, and are included with the bike, along with front and rear paddock stands, and a battery conditioner. The bike has been datatagged, and fitted with a Cat 1 Ducati alarm. It has always been garaged, and on a battery conditioner, and serviced in accordance with Ducati requirements. Unfortunately, the owner is now unable to ride the machine, due to health problems, and has reluctantly decided that it is time to go to someone who can give it the use it deserves. As a former Senior Bentley Engineer, the vendor has been pleased with the servicing and advice from JHP, and after the last service in May 2014 he covered only just over 50 miles before laying the bike up in dry conditions. As a precaution, he has removed the fuse from the fuel injection circuit, and advises that the petrol tank should be flushed out before starting the machine. New racing carbon cambelts were fitted at the last service. However, the new owner should do basic re-commissioning and safety checks prior to use.Documentation comprises a current V5C, an old V5, a quantity of expired MoT certificates, servicing invoices, the original Owner's Manual, service booklet. The original tool kit and two keys accompany the Ducati.Footnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

2010 Harley-Davidson 1585cc FLHRC Road King ClassicRegistration no. HD55 USAFrame no. *5HD1FR4C9AB670171*Engine no. *FR4A670171*Once Harley's V-twins began to get larger, the company played into this more and more, and with the introduction of the overhead-valve 1200 FL series in 1941, touring was destined to play a major part in Harley's future. Touring FLs were integral to the range up to the present day; landmark models such as the Electra Glide playing a role, with engines changing over the decades. By 2010, tourers such as this FLHRC Road King Classic were equipped with all the bells and whistles, and powered by the new generation of 96 cu. in. (1585cc) Twin Cam engine. HD55 USA was purchased by the owner in August 2011 (purchase invoice on file). At its next service, in July 2012, the mileage was 2072. Serviced again, and MoT'd in August 2014, the mileage had increased to 2889. Thereafter, the mileage covered between MoTs appears to be only that needed for the test itself. It was last MoT'd in August 2024, and the present mileage is 3,006. It has been kept in a very good environment throughout, and the present excellent condition is commensurate with that low mileage and careful storage. It is equipped with panniers, and all the accoutrements one would expect on such a high-spec. model. It has also been set up with the aid of a dynamometer, and is ready for use by a new owner. A duplicate V5C has been applied for, and should be in place by the time of sale. Other documents comprise some expired MoT certificates, the aforementioned service invoices and purchase invoice, the owner's manual, and sundry papers. The bike is presently on SORN.Offered with keyFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

1961 Triumph 649cc ThunderbirdRegistration no. 779 HTAFrame no. D12768Engine no. 6T D12768Announced in September 1949, the 650 Thunderbird was Triumph's response to demands for more power emanating from American racers and British sidecarists alike. A spectacular launch stunt saw three Thunderbirds lap the Montlhery circuit at over 90mph for 500 miles, after which they each achieved a flying lap of 100mph-plus and were ridden back to the Meriden factory. When displayed at the Earls Court Show in October, the new twin featured the headlamp nacelle and fuel tank with luggage grid first seen the previous year. An interesting change to the Thunderbird for 1952 was the adoption of an SU carburettor in place of the original Amal, a specially prepared machine managing a staggering 155mpg at a steady 30mph on a factory organised economy run.Currently displaying 85,255 miles on speedometer, this delightful Thunderbird we're advised has had 5 owners from new (with the current vendor being the 5th owner). Purchased in 2022, it has been used sparingly on warm summer days and dry stored throughout the winter but will need a light recommissioning before returning to the road. Selling due to ill health, it is accompanied by a V5C, numerous invoices, a workshop manual and parts lists.Offered with keyFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

c.1935 Norton 490cc Model 30 InternationalRegistration no. not registeredFrame no. none visibleEngine no. 61312One of the most charismatic model names in motorcycling, 'International' was first used by Norton for its top-of-the-range sports roadster in 1932. All new, the Inter's overhead-camshaft engine had been developed in the works racers over the preceding two years and retained Norton's classic 79x100mm bore/stroke dimensions. By the time production halted in 1939 the Inter was being built with a four-speed foot-change gearbox and plunger rear suspension, reappearing postwar in similar guise save for the hydraulically-damped Roadholder front fork, which replaced the pre-war girder. An older restoration, since deteriorated, this Norton Inter has clearly not been used for a considerable period; accordingly, the machine will require careful recommissioning, or possibly more extensive restoration, before further use and thus is sold strictly as viewed. It should be noted that the frame lugs are unstamped, the lower tank support lug appears to be a bolt-on item, and the 'piecrust' oil tank is possibly a modern fabrication. There are Magura control levers and modern fastenings throughout. Prospective purchasers must satisfy themselves with regard to the condition, completeness, authenticity and compatibility of this Lot's component parts prior to bidding. The only documentation present is a maintenance manual and a letter dated 1980 from a Margot Kuisemann (illegible) referring to a c.1934 Rennmaschine.Footnotes:Please note that this vehicle is from outside the UK. Our customs agents, Shippio Ltd, will manage all post sale customs administration. A fee of £350+VAT will be charged on the buyer's invoice to administer both import or export customs movements. Property of a deceased's estate1978 MV Agusta 350 Sport IpotesiRegistration no. XRO 337XFrame no. 2160637Engine no. 2160519Introduced at the Milan Show in 1971, MV's first production 350 roadster was basically an over-bored version of the existing 250B model that had been around since 1967. Two versions were made: the 350GT tourer and 350B sports roadster, both of which were updated with 12-volt electrics and electronic ignition in October 1972. They were replaced for 1975 by restyled, 'square case' 350 Sport/GT equivalents - also known as the Ipotesi (hypothesis) - the makeover being the work of celebrated car designer, Giorgetto Giugiaro, whose initial styling exercise had premiered at the Milan Show in 1973. The basic engine architecture remained unchanged but power went up to 34bhp at 8,500 revs with a commensurate increase in performance. Production continued until 1980.First registered in the UK in 1981, this Ipotesi was acquired by its late VMCC member and enthusiast owner in 1994. Having inherited the MV, the vendors know little about the machine other than it last ran in 2016 and currently displays a total of 19,862 kilometres (12,342 miles) on the odometer. Sold strictly as viewed, the Ipotesi comes with a parts list, photocopy instruction manual, some expired MoTs, old/current V5/V5C registration documents, and a spare screen.Offered with keyFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

Single Owner - 11,015 Miles From New1991 Harley-Davidson 1340cc FXRS-CONV Low Rider ConvertibleRegistration no. H449 TUYFrame no. 1HD1EML17MY116772Engine no. *EMLM116772*This Low Rider Convertible (the convertible aspect relates to city or country riding), was purchased new by the vendor in 1991, from Motex, and was supplied with the following factory fitted extras:- Screaming Eagle cam, ignition unit, and silencers, smooth bore Mikuni carburettor, and solid rear wheel. The owner later fitted stainless steel spokes to the front wheel, changed the rear chainguard, side covers and fuel cap for chrome items, and removed the screen. The original camshaft, carburettor, ignition unit, silencers, rear chainguard, side covers, fuel cap, screen, spokes, and factory-supplied soft panniers all accompany the bike, together with an after-market Le Pera single seat.H449 TUY was used regularly by the vendor most years, but only in Summer months, for limited mileage. The mileage from new was only 11,012 at the time of consignment. It has been regularly serviced by the fastidious owner, who is a trained mechanic with a lifetime of experience. It is obvious to the most casual observer that this machine has been cosseted by the careful custodian. Having covered less miles in recent years, the vendor has regretfully concluded that it is time for the Harley to pass on to another, who can exercise her a little more regularly. An opportunity to acquire a one owner, low mileage, Harley Davidson Low Rider, ready to use and enjoy. It should be noted that this machine is not the Dyna-framed model, which was introduced in 1991. Documentation comprises a current V5C, original sales brochure, current MoT certificate (expiring 6th May 2025), a factory workshop manual, old Mot certificates, and sundry papers. Two ignition keys present, but no steering lock key.Footnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

Property of a deceased's estate1962 Velocette 499cc VenomRegistration no. 991 CYHFrame no. RS15531Engine no. VM 4672Introduced in 1956, the Venom sports roadster was derived from the touring MSS. The latter disappeared from the range in 1948, reappearing in 1954 with a new swinging-arm frame and telescopic fork. The engine too was updated, changing to 'square' bore and stroke dimensions of 86x86mm, which permitted higher revs and potentially greater power, as well as gaining an alloy cylinder barrel and 'head. In the autumn of 1955 engine development pursued as part of the scrambles programme bore fruit in the shape of the high-performance Venom and its 350cc sibling, the Viper, which were launched at that year's Motorcycle Show. The MSS frame and forks were retained for the newcomers but full-width alloy hubs were adopted to boost braking power, and smart chromed mudguards fitted to enhance the models' sporting image. Produced until the end of Velocette production in 1971, the Venom represents the final glorious flowering of the traditional British sports single, and today these supremely well-engineered thoroughbreds are highly sought after.Offered from a deceased's estate and not run for some time, this particular Venom will require careful recommissioning before returning to the road. Accompanying paperwork consists of an old green continuation logbook issued in Liverpool May 1975; a quantity of old MoTs and tax discs; an original Velocette service manual; and old/current V5/V5C documentsKey not requiredFootnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

1957 BMW 490cc R50Registration no. 136 LMPFrame no. 557555Engine no. 557555In the early 1950s, BMW concentrated on refining what were essentially pre-war designs, but by 1955 was ready with a brace of new machines, the R50 and R69. Of 500cc and 600cc respectively, the newcomers inherited the up-dated flat-twin engine introduced on the R51/3 a few years previously, but deployed this in all-new cycle parts, the most notable departures from preceding practice being the Earles-type leading-link front fork and swinging-arm rear suspension enclosing the drive-shaft in the right leg - developments first seen on the works racers. Luxury tourers, the R50 and R69 sold to discerning enthusiasts to whom expense mattered little when set against the excellence of BMW engineering. Our vendor acquired this BMW R50 in 2017 as a non-runner; he proceeded to get the Beemer running, repainted it and fitted a new exhaust, silencer, seat and luggage rack. Since then the machine has covered some 200-300 miles and last ran in 2023. Lack of use, other bikes and other projects are the reasons for sale. The machine is offered with an old-style RF.60 logbook, a current V5C, instruction manuals, parts book/repair manual, manufacturer's brochure, and a tool box key.Footnotes:All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.REQUEST A TRANSPORT QUOTEPlease click the link to request a transport quote from our recommended transport company, Moving Motorcycles. To request a UK or European shipping quote - Moving MotorcyclesTo request an International shipping quote - ShippioThis Lot will be auctioned on Sunday 13 October starting at 11am GMT.For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com
