Orr & Sons Ltd, Madras & Rangoon case, dial 17mm diameter, case 21mm diameter (excluding winding button)
Victorian Belgian 'British Bull Dog' Revolver (Obsolete Calibre) 19th century AD. A 5-shot, double-action solid frame revolver chambered for the obsolete .44 calibre bulldog cartridge; hinged loading gate to right with swing-out manual cartridge ejector rod housed through cylinder pin; the frame heavily engraved with foliage and inscribed 'BRITISH BULL DOG' in two lines to top strap with sighting groove; the cylinder with Liege proofmarks to faces, the 50mm barrel rifled with fixed foresight; the bird's-head butt fitted with chequered wood grip scales (retaining screw a replacement); the metal parts with some traces of original nickel plating. 482 grams, 15cm long overall (5 3/4"). Property of an Essex collector. See Layman, George, The British Bulldog Revolver, for much information on the general type; see Hogg, Ian V., Revolvers 1870-1940, number 117 (for the original Webley revolver.) No Firearms Certificate is required for this antique revolver; which is essentially a Belgian copy of the well-known Webley 'British Bulldog' revolver; the Bulldog revolvers, although accurate only at close range with their short barrels, were popular everywhere for their reliability and power as well as being considerably cheaper than other types; they were also popular with police forces. Good condition; action in working order, slight surface pitting.

An 18ct gold wristwatch, case no.1275940, silvered dial with raised gilt baton numerals, subsidiary seconds, signed International Watch Co, Schaffhausen, signed Cal.88, manual wind movement, in a circular IWC Probus case with curved lugs, on later leather strap, Import marked London 1956, c.1952, 36mm diameter.
A 1970s Omega Flightmaster chronograph gentleman’s wristwatch, case no. 145.036, Grey Exotic dial with luminous markers, three subsiduary dials and blue GMT jet hand, inner rotating 60 minute bezel, manual wind movement, Tonneau shaped case, with Flightmaster marked to cover, Omega crown and enamelled pushers, on a stainless steel Omega bracelet, no.1162, sold with a red Omega box and instruction leaflet, appears to run (3)
An early 20th century clockwork rowing boat toy, comprising metal hulled (zinc?) painted boat with clockwork motor wound via a shaft on the fore deck with manual brake, this activates the boy doll figure to row the boat. The boy doll is integral with the oars and has a bisque head and contemporary clothing and straw hat, rear of boys head impressed mark Schoenan & Hoffmeister. The girl figure has a composition face and a fine miniature straw hat (needs cleaning) and may represent the boys mother. The mechanism is working and has an old key.
