In 2001, three years after the launch of the Rover 75, and less than a year after the demerger of MG Rover from BMW, the MG ZT and MG ZT-T were launched. During the cars' development, the models were codenamed X10 and X11, for the saloon and estate versions, respectively. The basic shape and styling of the MG ZT remained the same as for the Rover 75 but with changes to the front bumper, now with an integrated grille, and detail alterations including colour coding of the chromed waistline, a new boot lid plinth, and different alloy wheels and tyres sizes. During the first few months of 2004, MG Rover facelifted the design of the ZT and ZT-T to a less retro look, at the same time as the Rover 75 received a facelift. This didn't feature much in the way of mechanical differences to the ZT, most changes were merely aesthetic. The main changes to the car included the replacement of the twin headlamps, with a new, clear single headlamp unit. Between 2003 and 2006 the top of the ZT range, and the rarest, was rear wheel drive and powered by the Ford 4601cc V8 engine giving 300bhp, 0-60mph in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.Originally registered on 16th January 2006, this Rover ZT-T presents well in black with a black interior. These are great cars to drive with endless power available, a relatively unassuming vehicle from the outside, with the only visible feature being the large bore exhausts. However, start the engine and suddenly you become aware of the Ford Mustang 4.6 litre V8 under the bonnet. This is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox making this a true drivers car and one to really enjoy on the open road. Performance is put at 260bhp and 407NM of torque. Manufactured in relatively small numbers, it is thought less than 200 were produced, meaning this could well prove to be a shrewd purchase. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate. A stylish estate car best described as ‘a wolf in sheep’s’ clothing’. Consigned by Stewart Banks.A RARE MG ESTATE THAT IS FITTED WITH A 4.6 LITRE V8 MUSTANG ENGINEA GREAT FUN CAR TO DRIVE AND TOTALLY UNASSUMING.

• Home market example in original specification• Comprehensive history file with over £30k of bills• Supplied with Heritage Certificate confirming matching numbersThe Jaguar E-Type was ten years old and in need of a new lease of life. History repeated itself when Jaguar debuted its robust V12 engine in a sportscar instead of the saloon for which it was designed. Despite its sportscar heritage, Jaguar depended on saloon vehicles for its survival and had developed the twelve-cylinder engine to power them with sufficient torque and refinement. Larger and softer in nature and with weight redistributed 53/47, the Series III had lost the wilds of its youth but gained the long-legged touring profile to which it was arguably better suited. Robert Bell in Motor was quoted as saying at the time that 'all we expected to try was a new engine, but what in fact we drove was a new car. Not a yowling, aggressive Ferrari-like machine with which, perhaps, most people associate a V12 engine, but a very smooth, quiet and refined grand touring sports car'.This E-Type was originally supplied by Ritchies of Glasgow on 20th September 1972, it was specified in white with a black leather interior and the all-important manual gearbox. The car is presented today in very good order overall, the paint has a good shine following a full respray a few years ago and the brightwork gleams. The hood has been replaced and looks very smart, free from any fading or tears. The odometer reading of 52,678 is backed up by various invoices and MoT’s and is understood to be the correct mileage for the car. The history file supplied with the car contains a wealth of bills totalling some £33,000 during the current owners nearly decade long ownership, it also contains a Heritage Certificate confirming the car retains its original engine and factory specification. Ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian, this E-Type looks to be great value and is offered to auction with a very attractive estimate.
