Reference 2585 is powered by the high-quality calibre 12-600 and housed in a stainless steel case. Only a few Patek Philippe reference 2585 with this movement calibre in a waterproof stainless steel case are known to have been sold at auction.This is a rare opportunity for a watch collector to purchase this exquisite timepiece. Case with surface scratches, back cover with opening tool scratch marks which are slightly deeper than surface scratches, Patek philippe crown with PP logo, later strap and buckle are not by Patek Philippe, plexi glass with scratches, original finish dial discoloured throughout the dial from a silvered colour and now has a russet light brown coloured finish with lighter parts, hands with some staining marks visible under an eyeglass, hands with luminous discoloured, hand setting correctly, manual winding function is working, (automatic rotor is currently detached from the movement, this is due to a part missing and two screws, which would have held the automatic rotor in place), this is the original automatic rotor stamped PP 18K and with the underside of the rotor numbered 766971, movement plates are slightly dirty, movement in going order. The French watch manufacturer Dodane took the opportunity to start to produce a more precise and reliable chronograph wristwatch which needed a flyback function. The different numbers on the case back is for the case number and the other numbers refer to the guarantee and Precision of the watch. The letters FG stand for "Fin the Guarantee". Dodane serviced the watches for the French army and engraved each watch with the expiration date.Case with surface scratches, bezel with numerals rubbed, later strap and buckle, plexi glass with scratches and small cracks, dial is clean, luminous Arabic numerals are evenly faded with a nice aged patina, back of the chronograph hand is broken and missing, hand setting correctly, winding smoothly, chronograph is fuctioning with both buttons working correctly, the 30 minute register chronograph hand is not returning back to the 30 minute indicator mark when pressing the flyback bottom chronograph button, movement in going order.

A Second World War German Luftwaffe Aviator's Wristwatch, RLM Nav B-Uhr, FI 23883, circa 1941, manual wound lever movement numbered 1484140, overcoil hairspring, original finished black dial with luminous Arabic hour markers, blued steel luminous hands, large centre seconds hand, large sized nickel silver plated case with a snap-on back engraved RLM Nav B-Uhr and numbered 1157, band of the case numbered FI 23883, fixed bars between the lugs, onion shaped winding crown 55mm wideThe German Air Ministry recognised the need for an accurate observer's watch to navigate and assist crews on long range flying missions. These watches are known as B-Uhrs (Beobachtungsuhr or observer's watch). The watches were tested by the Deutsche Versuchsanstalt fur Luftfahrt DVL Institute. From 1941 onwards they were classified with an FI number which stands for flight and control, the 23 stands for navigation and followed by the three digit DVL number.Case with some of the nickel plated surfaces rubbed in parts of the case, glass with small scratches, strap is missing, original dial finish has a good aged patina to the markers, dial centre with small signs of staining marks, hands are discoloured but have a good patina, hand setting correctly, winding smoothly, movement in going order.

Omega: An Extremely Fine and Rare First Generation Exotic Red Racing Speedmaster Professional Chronograph Wristwatch, signed Omega, model: First Generation/Second Execution Professional Speedmaster Red Racing, ref: 145012, 1968, (calibre 321) manual wound lever movement signed Omega Watch Co and numbered 26541084, column wheel chronograph movement, dust cover cap, exotic racing black dial with painted Omega logo in white, outer five minute red and luminous hour baton markers, outer fifth of seconds track, three dials for seconds, 30 minute and 12 hour registers, seconds, minute and hour red hands, buttons in the band to operate chronograph, tachymeter 500 scale bezel, screw back with seahorse logo and stamped inside with maker's mark Omega Watch Co and case makers initials HF for Huguenin Freres, reference number 145012-68 SP, later Omega stainless steel bracelet with deployant clasp stamped 1171/1 and 32, end links numbered 633, 42mm wideBy Repute, this watch has been in the same family since new and was given to the current vendor from her father.This very rare exotic 'Racing' dial wristwatch, reference 145.012, was produced for only two years between 1967 and 1968. There were two generations of the Racing dial Speedmaster with three executions in total. All the watches had characterised features displaying the black dials, bi-colour markers and specific coloured hands. The first generation came in two executions, the first being the "Pre-Professional" dial with applied Omega logo and Swiss Made and the second execution such as the present lot came with the Professional and Omega logo painted in white and the dial marked T Swiss Made T below 6. The first generation watches were powered by the highly rated manual-wound movement calibre 321. To our understanding, there have been only 12 first generation examples known to the market with around 6 being Omega Professional second execution variant, as the present lot.Case with surface scratches, case sides, lugs and back cover with dents in parts, back cover with seahorse rubbed, crown with Omega logo, tachymeter bezel black insert has been later replaced, Omega plexi glass with minor scratches, later replaced Omega 1980's bracelet, original finished dial in very good condition, dial luminous hour markers are all evenly discoloured and have a good aged patina, luminous in the hands has also discoloured with a nice aged patina, white finished hands with minor chips to the surfaces which is only visible under an eyeglass, hand setting correctly, winding smoothly, chronograph is working correctly, movement is clean and in going order. To our knowledge this watch has just been serviced by Omega in this last year. This watch is sold with no boxes and no paperwork. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to contact Omega if they would require an extract from the archives from the Omega Museum.

Longines: An Early and Unusual Shaped Wristwatch, signed Longines, circa 1906, (calibre 12.91) manual wound lever movement numbered 2292503, silvered dial with enamel Arabic numerals, hinged lugs, secured with four screws to the sides, case back with a Russian 56 gold stamp mark29mm by 45mmSold with a photocopy of a letter written to the vendor by the Longines Museum curator in Switzerland, stating “The serial number 2’292’503 identifies a gilded steel wristwatch for ladies, fitted with the Longines manufacture caliber 12.91, that was first produced in 1906. It was invoiced to Messrs Schwob & Sons in St Petersburg, who were for many years our agent for Russia, on 26.03.1910.”This watch was possibly re-cased in Russia circa 1910 from the original gilded steel as quoted in the Longines archives to this watch case which has the Russian 56 gold stamp mark.Case with surface scratches and very minor dents to the case back, case back with Russian gold mark rubbed, dial with light surface scratches in parts and small pieces of enamel missing to the surface of the Arabic numerals in parts, glass with light surface scratches, hand setting correctly, movement is clean and in going order. In our opinion this case tests as 14 carat gold.
