This particular example, which we have the pleasure in offering for sale, was originally an export model to the USA as part of the Export or Die British Government scheme. From information ascertained from an MG Octagon Car Club certificate it can be seen that the MG was re-imported from the USA in early 1988 and was previously fitted with an XPAG 7144 engine. Since arriving back on British soil the MG has seen considerable expenditure culminating in a very smart example. The coachwork has recently been re-sprayed in a very distinctive light metallic green, which complements the tan leather interior and matching weather gear. Since its time in storage it has undergone a programme of re-commissioning to get the car running, and the current owner has seen further works to make the car a good driving example and the car will be driven approx 40 miles to the auction.
