1975 BMW 2002 CabrioletMake: BMW Model: 2002 Cabriolet Year: 1975Mileage: 30547VIN: 3595006Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: HLJ793NTransmission: manualWhen the vendor purchased this car in 2016 it was advertised as having been well-maintained and subject to major restoration in 2004/2005 with marque specialist Jaymic, totalling in excess of £8,000. After the work, the car covered around 20,000 miles before the vendor's acquisition; he has used the car regularly since then covering a further 5,000 miles. The advert also stated that it had been in long-term ownership from 1992 to 2015. The well-organised paperwork folder includes current and past V5s, MoTs back to 1989, photos of the 2004/2005 restoration along with correspondence and bills relating to that renovation, copies of magazine articles relating to the BMW 2002, and general service and maintenance bills back to 1999. Lot 140

1965 MG B RoadsterMake: MG Model: B Roadster Year: 1965Mileage: 0VIN: GHN3L40685Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: PTU139CTransmission: manualThis is the MGB in its purest early form, being the MkI 'pull handle' variant - a reference to the door handles, where you pull the entire handle rather than push a button. This particular example is very well-travelled, with bills in its paperwork folder from the USA, Queensland in Australia, and Wales. The car went new to the USA, where it was converted to right-hand drive in Tulsa, Oklahoma, during 1994, shortly before being exported to the UK (which is where Wales comes in) and being registered for British roads in 1997. By 2004 though, it had been exported to Queensland in Australia, but looks to have returned to its homeland by the end of that year, landing in Liverpool. The paperwork folder includes the current V5, some US history such as registration documents and invoices, a few bits of Australian paperwork, various MoTs back to 1998, a couple of tax discs from 2001 and 2008, and some British invoices. The vendor reports the car as 'driving well, mechanically good with working overdrive and with bodywork that seems solid with no visible rot, but the paintwork is not so good'. Having examined the car here at ACA, the paint does seem to have 'reacted' over the years, resulting in a less-than-smooth finish. Some tarnishing is evident on the bumpers and the offside front wheel has a loose spoke. The vendor describes the interior as good. The odometer reading is 10,536, which we assume to be 110,536 judging by the history file. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 24TH AUGUST BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

1972 Land Rover 88 SIII Lightweight"Make: Land RoverModel: 88"Year: 1972Mileage: 37800VIN: 95100073AConfiguration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: PHJ481KTransmission: manualThe British Army - and others, across the globe - was a big user of Land Rovers, and this 1972 Series III Lightweight went into military service when new. Lightweights had considerable modifications compared to standard Landies, with parts removed to save weight and many body components easily removeable should even more pounds need to be shed. This 2286cc machine served with the Grenadier Guards from 1972 to 1976, then the Scots Guards until 1979 and the Coldstream Guards during 1984, before entering Civvy Street in 1985, according to the photocopy of the military history card that comes with it. There's also a copy of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, showing its dispatch to the Central Army Vehicle Depot in Ashchurch in May 1972. The vendor acquired the vehicle in 2017. Recent jobs include a new starter motor and battery fitted in January this year, plus half-shafts replaced and a rear bench seat fitted during 2018. There are invoices for these jobs in the (somewhat lightweight) history folder. The odometer shows 37,800 although this is unwarranted. However, Land Rovers often covered comparatively few miles in military service compared to their civilian counterparts. For anybody wishing to show off the Lightweight at shows, it is now fitted again with lots of military equipment, such as a patrol radio, front-mounted antennas, flag mast and Grenadier Guards convoy badge, plus other bits and pieces. There's also a spare set of keys and a Series III Lightweight user manual. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 29TH JULY BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

1989 Ford P100 1.8 TD Pick-UpMake: FordModel: P100 Turbo DieselYear: 1989Mileage: 0VIN: TW2PXXCPTPKB51863Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: G297OKKTransmission: ManualYes, it's a Sierra, but not as we usually know it. The P100 was Ford's medium-sized family car-based pick-up, initially using the Cortina platform, but switching to the Sierra shape in late 1987. This 1989 example has the 1753cc 74bhp Endura-D turbo diesel engine, and has been in storage for some years. It comes with maintenance and parts invoices dating back to 2006 and MoTs back to 1997, which back up the comparatively low mileage. A check of the MoT history reveals that, from 2005 to 2015, a mere 2,346 miles were covered, with that latest MoT being undertaken at 74,303 miles. The V5 is present, as are some spare keys. As a practical workhorse, this vehicle has seen its fair share of use over the years, which is reflected in its general overall condition.

The vendor advises that this is a reluctant sale following the passing of the last owner during 2020. It comes with invoices from the late 1970's issued by Batson Garages, Wroxham, original lubrication chart and recent RTN receipts. A new V5 will be provided. The 'S' in its title denotes a it's one of the more desirable manual transmission variants of the V8 model. The vendor believes that it was a manufacturer's prototype for a twin-carburettor set-up, but unfortunately, as there is minimal paperwork, this cannot be verified. The recorded mileage is 34,995 and the V5 is present.

1992 Mercedes W124 320 CE Auto 28,404 miles from newMake: MercedesModel: 320 CEYear: 1992Mileage: 28404VIN: WDB1240522B867684Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: K163YCPTransmission: automatic This Mercedes-Benz W124 320 CE Auto boasts both a remarkably low mileage and a superbly-presented history that completely backs up its recorded mileage of just 28,404 miles. As you'd expect from a car with so little use, it is in excellent condition, with very few signs of wear either inside or out. Registered in November 1992, the car stayed with its second owner from July 1993 to August 2019, before passing to the vendor. Originally costing in excess of £43,000 new, the factory options on this car included metallic paint - in this case Almadine Red - as well as leather interior, electric sunroof, heated seats, eight-hole alloy wheels, cruise control, walnut central cubby box, front central arm rest and overmats. The well-organised history folder includes the V5, original bill of sale (showing a Porsche 944S was traded in for the Mercedes) plus many invoices from that point onwards. There are MoTs from 1995 onwards, albeit with a break between 2012 and 2015 when, presumably, the vehicle was stored. The recommissioning service carried out by Nair Autos Ltd, a Mercedes-Benz specialist, in 2015 added up to just over £2036. More recent invoices include a November 2019 one for fuel pumps and filter (£463.70) and another for a full service plus some exhaust work in September 2020, costing £817.60. There are also original brochures, as well as the original Mercedes-Benz documentation wallet, with dealership directory, key code, radio manual, owner's handbook and service book, the latter being fully stamped up to 2020. There's also the most recent MoT document, issued in October 2015 at 77,401 miles. A check on the MoT history reveals very few miles covered over the past few years; the 2010 pass was at 76,582 miles, so in 11 years, less than a thousand miles have been covered.
