A box containing a large quantity of letters and ephemera, (in excess of 40) US Basic Field Manual, Coast Artillery Manual, Handbook of the Thompson Sub Machine Gun etc. The above items were left behind in 1944 by Private J B Hoffman 17059053 Battery B 474th AAA, who was billeted in Bridgwater. The vendor`s parents tried to contact him after the war, but were unsuccessful.
