An Empire style mahogany double pedestal desk late 20th century, the moulded top with inset tan leather and pull-out slides to both sides with additional leather writing surfaces, over three frieze drawers and three drawers to each pedestal, flanked by fluted muntins, on plinth bases with bun feet, 59 x 35½in. (150 x 90cm.), 29¾in. (75.5cm.) high.
A George III mahogany kneehole desk the moulded top over a shallow full width drawer, the recessed kneehole beneath with a cupboard and hidden frieze drawer, flanked by two banks of three graduated drawers to each pedestal, on bracket feet, 29¼ x 17¼in. (74.25 x 43.75cm.), 29¾in. (75.5cm.) high, later handles, restorations.
A Victorian silver desk stand Thomas Bradbury & Sons, London 1873, retailer's stamp for Hall's, King Street, Manchester, of shaped form with twin handles and four foliate capped scroll feet, with the original glass inkwells with hinged silver lids, 15in. (38cm.) long, weight without inkwells 34.2 tr.oz.* Condition: In very good condition - crisp clear marks and no faults. Tiny frit to one corner of one inkwell, otherwise good.
A white metal rose quartz and blue stone desk seal of tapering conical form, the mount with applied foliate band, inset with three triangular blue stones, vacant matrix, 3in. (7.5cm.) high, together with a green hardstone (possibly agate) desk seal. (2)* Condition: the rose quartz with crack running up from base and expected natural flaws, other, nothing to note, very pleasing, overall good.
A late 18th century Maltese marquetry bureau the drop leaf forming a writing desk when opened and having a central marquetry Maltese cross design, the drop front enclosing six stepped drawers flanking two stepped shelves, all beneath a single long shelf, the lower section having a central faux drawer with brass lock plate, flanked on either side by two drawers with brass drop cabinet handles, above a single long drawer, raised on shaped cabriole legs with brass foliate mounts, 38¼ x 20in.
