WW1/WW2 British Medal group to S/41883 Pte A Wood, Gordons comprising of British War Medal 1914-18, Victory Medal, WW2 Defence Medal, War Medal, Efficiency Medal with bar named to 1475851 WO Cl 2 A Wood, RA. All mounted on a bar with original ribbons. Along with his Gordon Highlanders cap badge mounted on original backing cloth, RA cap badge, London Scottish cap badge, a single silvered Pioneer Corps collar dog, two RA Flaming Grenade sleeve insignias, five Officers rank pips and a RA Sweetheart badge. He was later commissioned attaining the rank of Captain. Comes with a scan of a post war photo of him in Captains uniform sitting at his desk with nameplate confirming ID, photo of a camp in Egypt, and a Commendation from the Patriarch of Alexandria dated 1948 and some family history background notes.
