This is the desk used by Raymon Rush in his collector's room.PROVENANCE: The Raymond Rush Collection. Mr Rush was an engineer, farmer and lay preacher who lived at Golden Cross Farm in Siddington, Cheshire. He was also a historian, broadcaster, author and speaker who regularly gave talks on local history, agricultural history and historic curios. The light-green gilt-tooled leather inset moulded top above an arrangement of nine drawers with solid walnut fronts and heavily cast ornate handles. A Victorian mahogany kneehole desk, 123cm by 58cm by 74cmCondition report: Good colour. Leather lacking. Splits to the left and right sides. Left hand cupboard knob lacking and so does not open. All other drawers and cupboards opening freely. Wear and superficial marks throughout. No signs of wood worm damage.
A 19th Century Victorian Art Nouveau brass table / desk lamp light having a shaped glass shade with green glass rim and cut glass droplets below. Turned brass stem with all raised on a circular base. Measures approx; 52cm x 15cm diameter. Provenance; originally consigned from Tredean House: Tredean House, Devauden, Monmouthshire is a country house dating from 1901-02. It was designed in an Arts and Crafts style by the architect Arthur Jessop Hardwick.

Inverted geometric moulded drawer with spacious interior over a pull out writing board section with two smaller pull out sections to the flanks. All raised on canted edge square legs. Complete with key and original label. Some wear to the escutcheon and minor wear throughout but overall in very good condition. Measures approx; 156cm x 47cm x 36cm.
