JAMES DIXON & SONS; a Victorian hallmarked silver desk stand of shaped rectangular form with beaded cast rim, the attached central lidded stamp holder flanked by a pair of cut glass ink bottles with hallmarked silver collars and covers, with presentation inscription 'Presented to Frederick Charles Ulick Vernon Wentworth, by the workmen of the Wentworth Castle Estate as a token of respect on his coming of age June 10th 1887, Sheffield 1861, length 29cm, approx 20.10ozt/625g.Condition Report: Minor nibbles to the rims on the inkwells, otherwise good. Weight does not included glass inkwells.
A 19th century Flemish style carved oak desk with pull-out top, raised back and an arrangement of nine drawers, width 138cm, depth 69cm, height 123cm.Condition Report: Numerous cup rings, marks and stains, lacking leather top, no key present, minor splitting, and minor wear marks/losses to below drawers.

A 19th Century brass Post Box desk compendium stamped by Leuchars 38 & 39 Picadilly London, octagonal pillar box, the hinged cover inset with a Samuel Berry Singer compass to top and enamelled plaque to front section which reads LETTERS opening to reveal a candleholder within recess, the hinged door with built in collection plate housing a calendar and a match holder with striker to reverse door, the internal central section with revolving candleholder and glazed calendar holder with three calendar cards for October, November and December all dated XXXI (1831?), the lower hinged section opens to reveal an inkwell, the entire with engraved heightening, on domed ebonised support, approx 18cm high overall Further details: tarnishes and stains to body, some surface scratches, chips to base rim, wear to calendar sheet, one torn in half
