A Late Victorian Leather Inset Oak Partners Desk, 215cm by 123cm by 77cm together with a leather upholstered swivelling desk chair circa 1920 (2)The polish overall is dry and with wear patches. Superficial marks throughout. Heavier wear to the lower section on the pedestals. The wear is much heavier on the cupboard sides than on the pedestals. The drawers and cupboards are running (though with some stiffness). Split to one lower drawer front. Another split to a section of the moulding on the top. General condition is fair/slightly tired. Chair - structurally sound and functional. Swivel mechanism operational. General overall wear.
A 20th Century Reclaimed Wood Desk, 175cm by 80cm by 82cm and Two Matching Three Drawer Filing Cabinets (3)The top of the desk is removeable from the pedestals. Brackets of the central keyboard drawer need attention/replacing. The drawers are running freely. All three overall with general minor scuffs. Good condition.
Mouseman Kneehole Desk Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson of Kilburn, oak panelled kneehole desk, adzed rectangular top with raised upstand to the back above a central kneehole, flanked by three graduated drawers to either side, all with wrought metal handles, raised on six block feet, with carved mouse trademark to the right chamfered edge.137cm wide, 67.5cm deep, 76cm highIn good condition with some wear commensurate with age. Top with some water marks and a scratch to the front right corner. Two small losses to the edge of the drawers, both photographed, the rest are in good order. No key present. Mouse in good condition small loss to the side of the body, no losses to ears or tail. Exact date unknown by the family, likely 1980's. Please see all additional images.

His famous collection of orchids were eventually housed in the Kew herbarium. After his death the Royal Horticultural Society purchased his botanical and horticultural library of 1300 volumes for £700. In December 1865 the Royal Horticultural Society instituted the Lindley Medal, awarded for an exhibit of exceptional educational value.
