Superficial marks throughout. Heavier wear to the lower section on the pedestals. The wear is much heavier on the cupboard sides than on the pedestals. The drawers and cupboards are running (though with some stiffness). Split to one lower drawer front. Another split to a section of the moulding on the top. General condition is fair/slightly tired. Chair - structurally sound and functional. Swivel mechanism operational. General overall wear.

After his death the Royal Horticultural Society purchased his botanical and horticultural library of 1300 volumes for £700.
