A Time-Life desk chair, after a design by Charles Eames, in black leather and chrome with button back and seat on four spoke chrome base CONDITION REPORT: Leather stained, particularly at sides of back cushions. Seat with stains at the back. Ribbing surround worn in places but leather generally firm and good. Sound on base and revolves well. No labels found. It is possible it originally had castors which have been switched for plastic glides, and the usual oval disk replaced with an adjustment lever. Possibly a European version as others of this design have been sold at auction in France. Property of a late of title, who with her late husband built up an important collection 20th Century art and design in the 1970s and '80s.
A mid 20th Century teak 'Magic Box' desk, 114cm high, 82cm wide (when closed) CONDITION REPORT: Left hand box door slightly out of alignment, slight staining to both door tops, all shelves present, internal colour good, no key and lock is shot. Minor scratches throughout acceptable with age.

There is an element of finishing missing below each frieze drawer, one handle is missing and two others have damage and loss, on plinth base appears to have a replaced element to one pedestal (sympathetically done), otherwise just general wear, mostly good ordertop is 121 x 151cm and 2cm deep. Bases are 43 x 119cm x 76cm highchair has wear and some splits to back but is generally good and structurally ok

A Hillcrest leather desk chair with studded detail to sides, on oak base with casters, with Hillcrest label to the mechanism, 77cm high x 76cm wide overall including arms x 50cm to top of seatMinor wear and scuffs as expected particularly to the edges of the arms and edge of seat, some crazing and cracks to leather, small indentations in places, wear to base, some oxidization to the metal parts. The casters do not run particularly smooth with a squeaking sound. The seat rocks slightly on the base but turns smoothly.

Splits to the right hand side within the desk and vertically to the fall front. The handles replaced. The bracket fee probably replaced. Further signs of old restoration overall.
An early 19th century mahogany serpentine fronted knife box converted for use as a correspondence box, 22.5cm wide x 37cm high, together with; a 19th century rosewood veneered Boulle-work desk stand with twin inkwells, central taper stick and pen tray, 35.5cm wide; a tooled gilt red leather book stand, 33cm wide; and a French porcelain desk stand with twin inkwells and covers, 22cm wide (4)The knife box with minor marks, dents and scratches due to age and use and with later fitted interior, lacking some dividers, some minor splits to the reverse. The Boulle-work desk stand with lifting brass to the surface, some minor losses, three drawing pins to reaffix the brass, the inkwells possibly later but a good fit, some repair needed overall. The desk stand with some fading to the red of the leather, previously extending but now stuck, the hinged ends one in need of some reattachment and some repair. The French porcelain desk stand with one inner inkwell a replacement and one knop to a lid reglued.
