The upper section composed of an oval cabinet inset with a clock movement, the white porcelain dial with an enameled rose swag chapter ring and Arabic numerals, adorsed by two banks of twin drawers, each with cube form inlay, the writing desk base with a single drawer fitted with a beige leather lined writing surface, raised on cabriole legs with sabot mounts. An Edwardian novelty silver desk stand of cricketing interest raised on a velvet mounted plinth. The central inkwell formed as a cricket ball bears an enamel red rose and a presentation inscription and is flanked by two sets of cricket stumps. Assayed London 1908, 22cm wide. Condition Report : Minor chips to the enamel. Slight bends to the silver. Velvet plinth fairly worn.

Condition Report : Fairly tired but could be restored to a fine piece of furniture. Polish heavily marked, scratched and stained. Areas of beading completely missing. Some panels cracked.
