Lot 405

An Edwardian novelty silver desk stand of cricketing interest raised on a velvet mounted plinth. The central inkwell formed as a cricket ball bears an enamel red rose and a presentation inscription and is flanked by two sets of cricket stumps. Assayed London 1908, 22cm wide. Condition Report : Minor chips to the enamel. Slight bends to the silver. Velvet plinth fairly worn.

A nineteenth century desk seal with turned ivory grip and having rotating gilt metal head set with six carved hardstone matrix, 12.5cm. Condition Report : One matrix cracked. One with two small chips. All others good. The wheel freely turns and the handle is free from cracks.
