Lot 40
A large twin pedestal oak roll top desk with fitted interior, the lock inscribed 'The Arvon', width 153cm, depth 89cm & height 128cm. There is some general wear to include marks and light surface scratches to the finish and ink marks to the interior. The roll top opens and closes but is a little stiff and webbing to rear could do with replacing. There is some damage where the lock has been forced open at some point. Some minor losses; beading from interior and glue blocks which are present. Knee hole height 66cm.

Two 19th Century Chinese ivory figural desk dealsrealistically carved one holding a fan, the other a lotus leaf, together with a small collection of thirteen mother-of-pearl Chinese gaming counters finely carved with animals, birds and figures and each with cartouche with carved interlaced initials, together with a seated lapis lazuli Buddha (qty)height of ivory Chinese figures 7.6cmCondition: The mother of pearl gaming counters in good condition. The lapis figure well worn and with some damage, some of the details of the face have been lost. The ivory figures with some cracks with age.
