A Victorian, bone & ivory, desk thermometer. 14cm high; A brown banded agate handled desk seal, with brass matrix 2cm diam; A papier mache and bone parquetry inlaid snuff box, 19th century, a wooden and brass microscope accessory, also a wooden and copper mounted necessaire in the form of a miniature barrel.
A late Victorian mahogany partners pedestal desk, the rectangular top inset maroon gilt tooled leather, the front with three frieze drawers and three drawers to each pedestal, the plinth on castors, the back with three frieze drawers, all fitted later brass plate handles, and cupboards enclosed by panelled doors. 4ft. 11in. (1.50m.) wide x 3ft. 6in. (1.065m.) deep x 30in. (76cm.) high.
A Victorian cylinder fronted mahogany twin pedestal desk with three-quarter gallery top over cylinder front enclosing interior with stationery drawers and pigeonholes over forward sliding tooled leather writing surface the two pedestals each with three graduated drawers with turned wood handles on skirt base 109cm high 121cm wide 57cm deep.
A fine French gilt bronze spread eagle, of the style used on Imperial standards. Eagle’s head faces to the right. Extreme wing width 10”, height 8” thunderbolt length 4½”, flat gilt plinth 5” x 2¼” mounted on a black granite block, engraved with the large capital “N” gilt. Under the plinth a sign of old mounting marks. Probably converted for a desk ornament. The claw feet have been made separately. Good Condition (eagle loose on claws). Plate 15
