A Russian silver-gilt and shaded cloisonné enamel desk set, Pavel Ovchinnikov, Moscow, 1908-1917. comprising an inkstand with inkwell, a blotter, and a pair of table candlesticks, decorated in the art nouveau style in pastel tones with stylized scrolling foliage, trees and strawberry motifs, the lower border of the inkstand in pale-blue (5), Candlesticks 14cm high, base 15cm high, 21.5cm wide. A fine Gothic revival silver-cased desk clock with perpetual calendar and thermometer, Mortimer and Hunt, London 1839. the ‘spire’ cast as five cluster scrolling branches enclosing an earl’s coronet sitting on a stepped hexagonal platform engraved with acorns and oak leaves, leaf clasped finial to each corner, the circular enamel dial within a lancet framed panel flanked by panelled Gothic pillars, with an engraved tablet ‘John Carter’, the silvered thermometer and perpetual calendar dial of lancet shape, the reverse showing the movement through glazed panel and the other as a sliding engraved gothic door enclosing winder and hands adjustment, the movement with single fusee, 17.2cm high
A George I silver desk stand, Courtauld, London 1721-22. the tray of rounded rectangular outline with moulded everted rim and engraved with armorial to opposing sides, centrally applied with simple raised stand with pull out drawer and applied with three moulded stands for chalk pot, inkwell and table bell all engraved with crest with coronet above, 31cm wide, 76oz, Heraldry: Engraved with the Arms of Thomas Howard, 8th Duke of Norfolk, the boxes and bell with the crest and Ducal coronet for the Dukes of Norfolk, Note: With engraved scratch weight to underside of tray 80=10. Drawers in inkstands are unusual, however the Courtaulds made others: One by Augustine, 1730 (illus. E. A. Jones, Old English Plate of the Emperor of Russia, 1909, pl.XLV). Another by Samuel Courtauld, 1749, is in the Ashmolean Museum, Engraved with the Arms of Thomas Howard, 8th Duke of Norfolk, the boxes and bell with the crest and Ducal coronet for the Dukes of Norfolk, Notes: with engraved scratch weight to underside of tray 80 . 10. A VICTORIAN CAST BRASS AND BRONZED DESK PLATFORM WITH GLASS INKWELL, the faceted globular inkwell with brass hinged collar surmounted by a standing stag, retardant, centred within a bas relief cast base of rounded square form, each corner segment depicting various game birds and animals between baroquesque scrolling shell and mask decoration, on four scrolling supports. Stamped JG & Sons, numbered 109. 30cm x 30cm x 20cm high.
The 6th Battalion Jat Light Infantry, a carved Indian hardwood folding campaign desk with floral and foliate decoration the hinged top interior carved with 6 Jat light Infantry and slung bugle device, the lid enclosing a fitted interior of writing slope, racks and compartments, 68cm x 50cm x 70cm.
Great Northern Railway Board (Ireland) Coat of Arms tastefully mounted on a 12 x 10" wooden board. Typical garter crest with multi section shield within and a central shield of the red hand of Ulster. A rare COA, this particular era of the Great Northern Railway of Ireland only being in existence from 1953 to 1958. Excellent condition. Together with Brecon & Merthyr Railway, simple script, Coat of Arms on a piece of solid wood, believed to be part of an original coach. Recovered from an office at Swindon Works where it was used as a desk-end. Measures 28" x 18" approximately. Good condition considering the use it was put to. Together with a Northern Counties Committee script only, Coat of Arms mounted on a wooden backboard measuring 22" square. Excellent condition.

A late 19th century Russian enamel desk clock by Faberge, workmaster Michael Perchin, pre 1899 88 zolotniks mark for St Petersburg, the white enamel circular dial with black Arabic numerals and gilt Louis hands, within a chased laurel wreath bezel on a white guilloche enamel lozenge ground and purple guilloche enamel outer border, applied with two coloured laurel wreath and ribbon motifs, 15 jewel double barrel Swiss lever movement by Hy Moser no 66670 with bi metallic split balance and overcoil balance spring, with an ivory back and scrolled easel, signed Faberge in Cyrillic, Michael Perchin workmaster's mark in three places, scratch inventory numbers '1801' and 'BL 9.5.4.0', 10.5 cm high. Provenance: The property of the Hon. Daisy Fellowes of Donnington Grove, thence by descent. Subject to 5% Import Duty on the Hammer Price
