Chrome plating worn with some rust to the recesses, please see extra images. Areas scuffed and scratched. Central frieze drawer with a cut out section. The are close similarities to the design of bureau dame by Rene Herbst but difference to the configuration of the legs and elements of the top.

Front foot castor is loose, as per image and the other slightly loose.. The back leg castor is replaced. Slight movement to joints. Leather later replacement. Inevitable scuffs, scratches, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.

A rare group of Westacre Chinoiserie black lacquered dolls’ house furniture, wood and papier-mâché comprising a desk —2½in. (6.5cm.) high, a bureau bookcase with seventeen books (missing fold down desk), a desk top book stand with five books, a circular occasional table, a wall mirror, a wire standard lamp with paper shade (shade torn), a blotter, a bundle of envelopes and inkwell with quill - Westacre Village furniture was made in Castleacre near Kings Lynn in Norfolk after the World War One; it was started by Ysabel Birkbeck who lived at Westacre High House in Castleacre; simple materials were used: card, wire, beads, string, paper, fine Liberty fabrics, wool and paint.

The section of the broken wood is present and fits into the space without any sections missing.

Queen Anne-style walnut desk, with three short drawers above a shaped apron, on cabriole legs with ball and claw feet, 77cm high, 104.5cm wide and 56cm deep.CONDITION REPORT: Joins split (minor to the centre of the top). All three handles loose to drawers. There is a piece of walnut lacking to the centre of the lower apron. There are age-related marks, stains and colour fading throughout. Fairly standard with age.
Victorian black papier mâché gilt and mother of pearl desk stand with integral stamp box and pen wells, with two later blue glass inkwells, with velvet tooled pull-out writing slide and drawer, 9cm high, 31cm wide and 23.5cm deep.CONDITION REPORT:The gilding is rubbed across the entire top, in particular along the edges and borders. Mother of pearl inlay is chipped and cracked surrounding the inkwells. The inkwells' velvet vase is faded and lifting. The lid is misshapen and damaged on the right hand inkwell resulting in the inability to close. The side plans and lower border are rubbed. The inlaid tooled border of the interior velvet tray is lacking to areas.

The grand piano has been shorted, the interior of the pin cushions are in poor order. The alabaster base with minor chips.
