An early/mid-20th century Georgian style mahogany pedestal desk. With gold tooled leather insert to top and nine long and short drawers, H78cm x W138cm x D76.5cm Condition Report: Overall in good condition. Very structurally sound. All the drawers open smoothly, the interiors of them have been replaced and one has been converted into a filing cabinet. Some signs of general wear including scratches, small knocks and marks to the wood. The leather has some scuffs and rubbing to the gilt however no obvious tears. No signs or worm or damp damage.
An early 20th century large oak front sideboard with mirror. Richly carved with griffins flanking a shield to the top over Tudor style busts and fruit columns, the desk with three drawers featuring Green Man heads, the pedestal cupboards each with swags of fruit flanked by forest spirits suspending fruits. H194cm x W185cm x D70cm. Condition Report: Dimensions: H194cm x W185cm x D70cm. Generally in good condition considering the age. Structurally sound. The glass appears to be original. A fairly large section of wood is unattached from the pediment and on the left drawer (however the pieces are still present). Only one drawer is present inside both cupboards and it is very stiff. The right door is not attached to the frame and the corner of the main structure is loose. The main drawer opens relatively easily. Some very small areas suggest previous worm damage. The locks have been replaced. No obvious signs of damp damage. The structure shows some wear including knocks, scratches and marks consistent with age and usage.

Mostly in gilt-metal mounts and set with hardstones, comprising seven various fob seals (one on a gold-plated curb chain); an oval carnelian intaglio of a female head and shoulders; another oblong with a depiction of Diana; a yellow-glass three-sided spinning fob; a carnelian set watch key; a round brass desk seal terminal with an eagle intaglio; and two oval green glass 'Tassie type' intaglios Condition Report: The 14 items in this lot are in fair condition only, general wear and terar commensurate with age and use. Some have small areas of damage or cracks, several have small chips or scratches to the sones/glass. Viewing in person for this lot is reccomended.
A Victorian Mahogany Pedestal Writing Desk with moulded edge and green and gilt tooled leather inset to top, fitted nine small drawers, on plinth base, 44ins x 26ins x 30ins highTo the top on the crossbanded edge there is some light scattered scratching and darker staining and various areas of shrinkage with horizontal and vertical shrinkage splits. The leather is slightly distressed and there is some slight wear to the gilt tooling and the leather is slightly stained in various places. The drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. The left hand side is slightly faded compared to the top. General heavier wear to the plinth base commensurate with age and some slight veneer loss. Overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement
An Edward VII Silver Mounted and Leather Covered Stationery Slope and Mixed Silverware, the stationery slope by J Batson & Son, London 1905 with floral and scroll cast mounts and engraved with oval cartouche, floral garlands, scrolls and ribbon ornament 3.5ins x 4.5ins x 5.25ins high, an Elizabeth II silver mounted rectangular desk calendar, Birmingham 1953, 6ins wide x 4ins high and two silver capstan pattern inkwellsThe silver mounted and leather covered stationery slope - the floral and scroll mounts to the left corner of the top of the box are lifting. Some light rubbing to the engraved decoration and the hallmark which are struck on the top left corner. Hallmarks also struck on the lower left corner with the makers marks somewhat indistinct. General wear to the leather covering - small horizontal tear top left side and general stains and bubbling throughout. The interior has a simple wood lined compartment. The desk calendar - some scattered minor dents and light rubbing to mounts. Hallmarks struck to the side. This is on an ebonised casing the interior of which now has changeable cards. There are two capstan inkwells, one with reeded mounts which has a few minor dents. The other with reed and ribbon mounts which has two crease dents and slight movement to the hinge.
