A late 19th century carved bloodstone and gold desk seal, the baluster-form bloodstone handle of cut cornered rectangular section. Engraved gold base. The cartouche-form matrix engraved with an Austrian/German/Swiss artisan achievement of arms charged with a Helmzier Osterlamm as used by Faber, Osterbindt and others. 8.2cm high.
An unusual gem-mounted gold desk seal, the handle formed from a faceted abstract shaped amethyst and the body mounted with foliate carved cabochon emeralds. The circular gold matrix engraved with the initials HM abover the six-part shield for Mecklenburg, Rostock, Schwerin (Principality), Ratzeburg, Schwerin (County), and Werle with the red and gold escutcheon of Stargard overall, ensigned by a Ducal coronet. The base stamped 750 MM and an unclear name. 5cm high. Evidently the seal of Prince Henry (1876-1934), Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, who became Prince of the Netherlands on his marriage (1901) to Queen Wilhelmina (d.1962) of the Netherlands.
A gem-set gold clasped hand, double ended desk seal. Possibly late 19th century, Italian. One hand mounted with a snake design with ruby head to the wrist, the engraved oval matrix mounted with a carnelian engraved with the letters HE. The other hand with an elaborate cuff, set with an emerald. The matrix mounted with an octagonal carved bloodstone engraved with the same initials HE. 7.3cm high. Fitted case.
A late 19th century French gold mounted chalcedony desk seal, the faceted and tapered chalcedony handle decorated with folaite engraved cagework with folaite engraved decoration to the base and mounted with a small chalcedony armorial shield of arms for the marriage (1843) of the Hon. Thomas Liddell (1800-56), 2nd son of the 1st Baron Ravensworth, to Caroline, eldest daughter of the 5th Viscount Barrington. 6.5cm high.

With waisted lower section pierced with foliate motifs and tied with foliate engraved bands. The oval chalcedony matrix engraved with the rock of the raven crest and the motto Craggan An Fhithich, for MacDonell. 7.2cm high.
A 19th century agate, gold and gold cased small desk seal, the faceted baluster-form agate handle with damaged top, acanthus and foliate decoration to the base with octagonal gold matrix engraved with the two shields accollee, and unusually duplicated, of Wurttemburg impaling Swabia within a robe of estate ensigned by a Royal crown and supported by a lion and a stag for the Kingdom of Wurttemberg. Above the heraldic design are engraved the letters C.P.vW. 4cm high.
