Pugin, circa 1875, the rectangular top inlaid with a green leather writing inset with a gilt tooled border, the central frieze drawer flanked by four further drawers, with panelled back and sides, on concealed brass castors, frieze drawer stamped 'Gillow & Co. Lancaster', another drawer stamped 'L11615'.
