A Victorian burr yew wood and brass mounted desk stand, with gilt bronze bird surmount, with plaque inscribed 'presented to the Revd Michael Seymour Edgell BA, of Oriel College Oxford together with a purse of money from the congregation of the Parish Church of St Giles, Camberwell, in testimony of their respect and esteem, Easter 1859, 42cm wide.
A silver and guilloche enamel decorated desk calendar on oak mount CONDITION REPORTS Some general wear and slight rubbing throughout, some scrathes to the wooden base. Paper calendar is browned but is all present, some creases to corners and on one of the months the numbers 7 to one and the 3 on the other have almost disappeared. All cards have folds to corners and edges. Back hinge has two screws missing and the back cover is slightly loose and needs refixing. The paper in the calendar is changed manually, and the two knobs to the top do not appear to function or activate anything.
An Edwardian silver desk stand with two cut glass ink wells on silver tray (by William Hutton & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1906), 6.55 oz CONDITION REPORTS Tray : one of the oval holders for the glass ink well has missing rivet so holder is currently loose, generally with some wear and scufs and a few minor knocks and dents. One ink well with large chip to foot rim and some smaller chips to top rim. Other ink well appears to be sound, with just some minor frits to the top rim. Aperture to the silver tops to the top of the glass ink wells approx. 8 mm diameter, aperture to top of glass ink well is approx. 2.2 cm across (internally).
