Overall wear, marks, scratches and signs of use. One handle missing (top right hand side). The fall front drawer is stiff and catches on the edge of the veneer in places. Back leg has been repaired/altered. Splits to the back panel. Signs of old woodworm in places, most notably to the back.

Two George V hallmarked silver fronted desk calendars. One having a serpentine rim and monogrammed initials H.C.M engraved to the front. The other AF having a beaded rim and monogrammed initials A.C.M engraved to the front. Both having a hardwood frame with hinged backs to reveal date cards inside. Both being hallmarked for Birmingham, date letter B for 1926. Makers mark WJM&Co for W J Myatt & Co. Weight approx 714.5g. Measures approx 21cm x 14cm.
A VERY IMPRESSIVE WWII ROYAL NAVY OFFICERS MEDALS AWARDED TO LIEUTENANT COMMANDER LIONEL JACKSON M.B.E, the medals are in a frame and come with miniature medals, also included is a vast amount of original letters, photographs and certificates, Mr Jacksons medals include his MBE, Atlantic Star, Africa Star, 1939-1945 star and war medal, defence medal, UN medal and his Royal Navy GSM which is correctly named to LT CDR L.JACKSON R.N, Mr Jackson was awarded his MBE in 1957 in the Monarchs birthday honours list, included in this archive is a typed list of the ships her served on during WWII and post WWII, these ships include, HMS Furious, HMSMercury, HMS Hannibal, HMS Algeria, HMS Capania, HMS Implacable, HMS AIACRITY, HMS Victory, HMS Orion, there are various letters and cars inviting MR Jackson to Royal events in the 1950's and also numerous photos of him in uniform and some photos of ships that he served on, there is a framed certificate and some loose certificates connected to his various promotions whilst in the Royal Navy and another from when he visited a Royal Domain whilst serving aboard HMS Enterprise, also included is the box for his MBE, a large amount of his name cards, a desk stamp, various magazines of Naval interest, plus other personal letters and cards, this is a fantastic group for someone who started as a boy sailor and went on to be a commanding officer, Customers must satisfy themselves prior to sale in regards to conditions and authenticity, viewing is advised, condition reports are available on request
