Victorian oak twin pedestal desk, the top with leather inset, brass presentation plaque, nine drawers, plinth base, width 140cm, depth 80cm, height 72cm.Condition report:It is a little tired all over. The top veneer is missing some patches and where it remains it looks to be lifting and/or very thin. The leather insets are in a fair condition, some shadows, but ok. The back is finished but the colour is pretty flat. The overall colour and finish is patchy to the drawer fronts and pedestal. There is a cluster of small holes (screw bore size, not worm) to the left hand pedestal towards the base. Some additional compartment divisions have been put into the central frieze drawer. The drawers are all ok, a little dry when opening them but the linings are sound (if not a little stained). Two of the drawers are missing their ring pulls and they have been broken off so it is not a case of just finding replacement rings (see additional image)
