A 19th century mahogany writing desk, with an inset writing surface, on turned legs121w x 54d x 77h cmCondition report: Overall solid and usable. Drawers run ok. The inset top is complete, although it has slightly split where the wooden joints run underneath it. Locks are in place but there is no key. Castors are mid 20th century and have been added. It is unrestored, so quite scruffy and dirty with signs of wear and use as expected for the age. There are also some deeper marks and knocks around the piece. The legs look old, but do not appear to be original. Kneehole aperture measures 38 x 60cm.
A late Victorian walnut pedestal desk, the superstructure fitted with drawers121w x 65d x 111h cmCondition report: Overall is usable but very scruffy. Handles appear to be complete and are original. We have the key which works some of the locks. Drawers run ok. The inset top is complete but cheaply made and added later. All surfaces appear to be marked, dry and knocked and there are large losses to the veneers, gaps in the joins and the top section with drawers is not fixed down. The finails and spindles look to be complete. The kneehole aperture measures 59 x 46cm. This is unrestored and although could be used, ideally requires some work to improve the aesthetic appearance.

All sides and corners are marked and rubbed from use/age. Some veneer damage. most visible on the curve at the front.
An early 20th century walnut pedestal desk, of small proportions, with an inset writing surface107w x 61d x 76h cmCondition report: Overall is solid, usable and well made. The inset top has some light marks, but is otherwise complete and usable. Drawers all run ok, not really smoothly and the handles are brass and complete and matching. The front is feather and crossbanded and the sides and back are veneered but plain. It is dirty and there are quite a few signs of use and surface scuffs and marks, most noticable around the corners and edges and towards the base and around the feet. Each pedestal drawer measures 24 x 42cm inside and the kneehole aperture measures 39 x 60cm. The left hand side has a join in the timber which is not tight. Is made in one piece, so does not come apart to move it.

The inset top is heavily worn to a pale colour. Drawers run ok and handle are complete and match. Locks are in place but there is no key. The back is quite sun bleached. One bracket foot is off, but we have it. Quite dirty, with various marks from use/age around all surfaces. Stamped inside the drawer.
