Stahlschmidt & Co., Manufacturers, Preston, Ontario, Canada" and in turn above the tambour front opening to reveal pigeon holes and leatherette covered writing surface in turn above a central frieze kneehole drawer flanked on either side by a further shallow drawer and each pedestal fitted with a hinging swivelling cabinet enclosing drawers and pigeon holes and with plinth beneath and raised on castors, each drawer with brass drop handle with embossed backplate, the whole with panelled sides and panelled back.
