An Art Deco 'Le Locle' desk clock by Robert Cart,c.1935, marked 'Robert Cart S.A, Le Locle, Swiss, patented 130191'A Chronoscope Jump Hour desk clock, eight day timepiece, frosted and silvered with outer Arabic numeral minute ring, red glass dial, the centre with sunburst pattern from the 'hour', mounted in onyx and marble,13cm Minor surface scuffs to the base, expected with age and use. There are further scuffs and fleabites to the white base, mainly at the corners. There is a slightly more significant chip to the corner of the onyx slab, approx.3mm across. There is some light surface tarnishing and scratching to the metal rim of the timepiece itself, as well as general surface dirt. The front left corner of the desk with small section of split and raised veneer. Metal work with general surface wear throughout and some visible oxidisation marks.
